Good morning friends. My turn to get Bertha running. The sludge is set aside for Carl and anyone else who needs that pick me up this Monday morning. The kettle is on for tea and cocoa. I hope everyone is feeling ok today. I'll be around to make food for anyone who needs it to help with hangovers.
I'm not sure how much I like not being able to do my daily chores. I really hate sitting around. Physical therapy later to help me get walking well again. Anyone whaddya need? Coffee, tea, bleers, whines, fine lickers.

Thanks for the set-up, Tonya. I think you have earned a break from your daily chores. You do more in a day than I do in a week.

No hangover here, but it's been a bit of a fraught day.

Hit me with some caffeine-laden sludge, please.

Sounds more like a family outing than a date. But if a good time was had by all, then more power to you.

A glass of red wine before bed, please.

You sound like my daughter. She audibly rolled her eyes when I referred to it as a double date.

Which story, Alyx? I lost too many brain cells in my misspent youth to have a reliable memory anymore.

Congrats again to the man at the helm of the greatest bar in all the internet! Thank you for building this oasis for us in the middle of the virtual desert, Bill. You're a good man.

A round on me. I'll have another couple more fingers of Jameson's.
You are an excellent bartender, an excellent proofreader and writer, an excellent support for all the writers who cross your path, and an excellent friend. You've made several of my stories better with your advice, and you have made my life better with your friendship. Have an excellent birthday. You are one of my favorite people here.

Here is Terrance doing his special Birthday Dance for you.

Happy Birthday to our main man!

Rain here is keeping me off the river and I'll have to hit the trainer tonight instead (hello Zwift). So today I did some writing for the first time in a few years :O

Be kind, I'm a bit rusty but if you fancy a bit of flash fiction: https://

Oh and Ill take some water since I have to work later.

It is a great piece of flash.

Happy birthday Bill, and Happy St. Patrick's Day to all. It snuck up on me this year - in my NYC days that would never happen - it's like a national holiday there. Like Christmas. A stumbling, drunken, puke-and-piss scented Christmas.

LJ and I had a double date with my youngest and her boyfriend last night (and my Dad along as chaperone). It was really kinda sweet.

A couple fingers of Fuzzy's Jameson's, if he doesn't mind.
She can have some sweet, I'll have something strong, and we'll meet somewhere in the middle. smile
Congratulations Simmie and Milik. No mere gif can encompass the joy of the occasion, so please accept my (and Layla's) sincerest best wishes.

It was an Australian man who jumped the ditch to do so. An extreme white supremacist (apparently even they have limits about what is 'normal' white nationalism and what crosses the line.) He wrote in his manifesto that he chose NZ because "it is NZ, they don't have this happen, they're not like that," so apparently that asshole had to go and make my country like that.

I know black markets exist but how he got a gun like that in the first place is beyond me. Guns are very, very difficult to get here. And that's legally. To go through the alternative ways and go through the black market would be tough too. We are more into our drugs here than black market weapons.

Thank you for the prayers, everyone. he kaha tatou, he aroha tatou, ehara tenei i te mea (we are strong, we are love, this is not us)

Yes, this was shockingg, and my heart goes out to NZ. White supremacy apppears to be a disease on the rise in the world, and highly contageous.

I love this: "he kaha tatou, he aroha tatou, ehara tenei i te mea (we are strong, we are love, this is not us)."

Gill, the socks sticking to the floor is pretty funny. And I know well thoufg laugh/cry sessions in regards to caretaking. *hugs*

In other news, I got asked to submit to a pro rates sci-fi horror mag!!! Not a guarantee they'll publish me, but hey, THEY ASKED ME!!! Deeply cool.

And I will leave off with this factoid: the publishing industry term for erotic romance is "active romance." I guess it's not wrong. smile
It has finally calmed the fuck down. Sunny all weekend, in the mid-40s.
We have a new coffee bearer! Thanks for the desludgification, Laura! I'll have a cup.

Hey Trace, hey LucyAnn. Nice to have you in the joint. And it's nice to see we have so many cat lovers in the crowd (insert your own pussy joke here).

We have school again, the snow is beginning to melt off, everyone has power. Whew. What a crazy snowstorm. The mountains are majestic though. I love the snow-dusted look on them, and the way the sunlight hits them early in the morrning.

A date night tonight, but not sure what we are doing. Enjoying ourselves, most likely, but don't know exactly how yet. Beyond the obvious.

New book out! I was trying to put the first 5 books all on the sig line, but didn't wanna blow up Bill's text-to-speech browser. This is one of my faves though. If you are a fan of girls talking dirty (and who isn't?), this one's for you.

Cadbury mini-eggs (chocolate with candy coating). Just ate one. Eating another one right...NOW!
Yes.

No, I didn't tell her at the time. I brought it up years later, after my feelings had subsided. She was chill; she already knew, and felt similarly at the time (it was a rough time for both of us). She is still--apart from LJ, of course--my best friend.
I dunno. I love fingers and tongues and lips on my ass. Don't know if I could work up enthusiasm for a strap-on. Never say never. But I will say unlikely.
I'm glad the girls don't seem to care, because I post here often. Women are just more interesting than men. Sorry guys. Plus, they're soft and they smell nice. smile

AylaJ and Verbal are both exceptional writers.

Just saw this. Thanks for the props! And I am clearly in good company. smile

Since she poked her head in here briefly last week, I gotta say Ravenstar. Hottest stories on the site. So hot you don't even notive how flawlessly written they are. Go find her stuff and read it.

Good morning Rump's lushettes and lushees. I'm off to the hospital but thought I'd get Bertha de-sludged and brewing this morning. I'll put the sludge aside for Carl and whomever else wants it. I also brought along a variety of bagels. The mugs are washed and dried, set up on the bar for y'all to grab. Enjoy your day. (Hugs)

You bothered to desludgify big B before going to the hospital? You are too sweet. Our hearts are with you today. Godspeed.

Thanks for the bagels, but I may opt for one of Curvy the Unquechable's brownies. Wondering whether there is a Secret Ingredient or not makes it more fun. smile

The hubbub from the blizzard is subsiding, though school is still out. Driving is not too bad. I know people who are STILL out of power, so I am thankful we only lost ours for a short time.

Fuzzy, first Steve Earle and now Little Feat? I think we have the same tastes in music AND whiskey.

Who the fuck let a cat in here? Don't let it eat Terrance.

Coffee please.

Glad this wasn't in your 'Change' story. Lol!

My fact: Having sex burns about 360 calories per hour.

Friendly reminder not to forget your exercise today.

WALKING burns 320 calories an hour! I suspect whoever came up with that stat has a pretty unimaginative sex life (unlike you, I am sure, Alyx).

I need to read your latest story, V-Man. If you'd like, we can swap weather? It's a beautiful late summer's day type of weather. Autumn who? Autumn what? I'll take an Earl Grey tea while I listen to the Police and do some reading.

Peace out, Rumps fam.

Let's trade your pearls for my snow. We can both have fun. smile

EDIT: We have POWER!!! That was getting a little scary. I thought we had heat because it's gas heat, and the thermostat runs on batteries, but then noticed we were getting no hot air from the vents. Got down to 68 degrees, and I knew when the sun went down it was gonna get cold quickly. I almost rented a hotel room--the place I called had one left--as a back-up. Meaning I'd have to pack everyone into the mini-van and drive through blizzard conditions to get there. WHEW!

I'd like a stiff drink, please.
Full scale blizzard going on outside. We lost power about a half hour ago. Thank God we have gas heat. It's CRAZY out there. Kinda fun, though. We have gas, water, heat and food.

Hot tea please.

Always quite happy to see the pretty smiles from Tonya
I would love a cup of the deepest sludge from Bertha

more rain and winds clocking up to 60 miles today
note to self leave my hat at home

we all enjoy the quiet times with our fur family (2 cats here)

leaving this song on the Juke box
hope everyone enjoys it

Be happy Rumpsters

I'm a huge Steve Earle fan, Fuzzy. Seen him in concert a few times now. Saw him a few weems before her got out of prison, back in the day.

The wind had been howling for like 12 hours now, but snow is very sporadic, so the blizzard everyone is so terrified of has yet to materialize. I work from home and schools are closed, so it doesn't matter a lot to me.

Sunny, psyched you have a story out soon (and psyched that you are psyched). I'll be another pair of eyes if you like, though I am HORRIBLE with typos and spelling. You might need a pair of eyes to check my pair of eyes.

Teaching day! Yay! Of course, with half the state offices closed down due to weather, don't know if I'll have much of a turn-out.

Some coffee please, wiith a little bit of Fuzzy's Jameson's slipped in.

EDIT: Here comes the snow.

I LOVE The Band! Robbie Robertson is a minor God. Ever see The Last Waltz?
