A HUGE storm about to blow in.
Spring! Baseball season!
WYR see a live baseball game or football game?
Run screaming from so quickly that I go around the entire world and tap her on the shoulder from behind and say "hi!"
Fond of her. Can I run screaming TOWARD her?
I already gushed at length over on the Rump's thread about how happy it makes me so see Cyn grab the top ring of this contest. She's so good, and working in an under-valued genre for such a long time. Lovely to see her labors rewarded with a first place win. Congrats to Tangerine and Wannabe too, and to all the rest of the top ten. Nice to see Ayla break into the winners list, her writing has been on my radar for a little while now, and it's great to see her talent recognised.
This was a great contest. Nice way to start the day.
Always happy to read who the comp winners are, but this crop is paticularly fullfulling. And not just becaue of all the Rumpers on the big ten. Currrrrrvvvyyyy the Unquenchable!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! It's gotta be hard (heh) to toil in the fields of historical erotica, surrounded by all these fast, modern tales with cocks and pussies flopping around left and right, and get relatively little notice. Cyn has always continued on, writing perfectly structured, well-researched (I assume, I don't know anything about the periods she writes in) sexy tales, and managing to NAIL the tone and stick the landing time and time again. And keep things sexy. I don't quite know how she does it. I will quit gushing, but this win makes me so happy. Okay, a little more gushing: she is always generous and kind to the other writers here, and is the best damn beta reader on the site. AND she make a helluva cup of coffee.
Equally cool is Tange taking second. She only recently showed up on my radar, frankly because she stopped by for a drink here, but she clearly has some serious game. Good story. No spoilers, but I love the way she slips in a very important plot point midway through.
I wiill confess I didn't read Wannabe's but I will shortly.
Big sloppy hugs to Laura, Larry and Annie too, for breaking into the top 10 of a tough field.
I'm buying Curvy's drinks for the rest of the YEAR!!! Yay!
Thanks for the set-up Tonya. Let me me pour YOU a cup a coffee for a change, and I will sit and join you.
I am just going to get all stupid romantic and say my dear LaylaJune makes me very, very happy (insert heart emoji here).
Morning all. Thanks for waking up Bertha Curvy. And clean mugs - good Lord! Is this really Rumps? *blinks and looks around to make sure* Yeah, Curves, I had to go to the U.K. Amazon site to read your reviews, but that doesn't lessen my gratitude at your kind words.
Hey Susie. Can I buy you a cup of Beaver's Breath inhanced coffee?
Date night tonight! Sadly, a busy day precedes it.
Nice sunny day out. The snow slowly melting, but the mountaintops are capped in white. I love living here.
The winner of the first comp I ever entered is humbly presented to you in the sig line below. I'm really fond of this story. It's a bit of a love letter too. But then, all these stories are love letters. Hot sex-saturated love letters, but love letters nonetheless.
Kôffêê please.
I love dialogue. These are excellent (I skipped the first one too, because I don't use dialects). Even found out a mistake I was making. I always used an ellipsis and a period--so, four dots--if a character's dialogue trails off at the end. Wrong, apparently. No period, just the ellipsis.
Absolutely. Not so much while writing them, but reading them, yes!
You make my cock throb
my heart tremble, my mind roil.
Come back to bed, please.
News on the radio while I work. In some ways I am shockingly boring.
