Pork roast with gravy, carrots and potatoes, salad.
Did not get enough sleep last night, and the deep fog sliding down from the mountains and enveloping the streets is like a mirror of my befuddled brain. The drive to school was trippy fun, though.

Writing is in overdrive - I am actually writing THREE stories at the same time, which I never do. I guess the silver lining of LJ being gone (two more days!!!) is that I have the time and the spare mental space.

Thanks for the props on the horror story over on rhymes-with-achoo site. That one did turn out pretty well, I think. I cut about 500 words from it, which looks like the beginnning of the next story. So that's cool.

Annie, I feel you. I have to give up drinking for three months last year, and it was not fun.

Thnks for awakening Bertha, Tonya. You are brave - she's cranky in the morning!

The usual, barkeep!

Hooray! It worked. I am now following JG Cain on Amazon UK so hopefully, the glitch will be sorted for story no. 3. I will try to submit a glowing review too. smile

Susie, your evening beer is on me! Two pints here please, barkeep!

Hiya Hannah! *waves*

Cyn, you ROCK SO SERIOUSLY HARD!!! Thanks for checking. My worry--which miight be true--is that I am in Amazon "jail" for inappropriate content. Meaning, you can't find the book unless you do a search for the exact title or author. Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Just came back from a haircut for LJ's return, even though it isn't for three days. Yes, I am welll aware she misses me too. I am not worthy!

Hannah, I am hard at work on The Story That Cannot Be Named, as well as assorted horror. There is another flash in the pipeline invoking LJ though. And it will be full of love. And other things.

Iced tea please.

Verbs, your story on Bayou is fantastic! Gave me the shivers!

Btw, I still can't find JG Cain on Amazon UK to download your second Serious Moonlight story. Sorry to be a nuisance!

I am sure Layla is missing you as much as you are missing her. ❤

I'm utterly danced out. Beer please, Rumps!

It really should be on there. Try a search for "The Razor Thin Edge: Serious Moonlight 2". Let me know if it shows or not. This bug in Amazon is bugging me.

You can make your coffee and I'll have a tea. Trust me you don't want me to do it.

I will bring you some banana runts or some taffy.

BANANA RUNTS! TAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFYYYYYY!

Fine, I'll make my own coffee, and join you at the table in the corner.
Thanks as always for the set-up, Tonya. Sounds like your little one is bright and curious and full of like. Good for her (and you!)!

Got a horror story over on the (fill in the blank) ___ Bayou site. The hint is appropriate due to the recent Rondstadt contest over there. It's here: https://www.storiesspace.com/stories/flash-fiction/-forks-.aspx

3 days until Layla's return. I honestly did not expect to be so discombobulated by her absense. I feel...incomplete. Writing up a storm at least. That's the silver lining.

Suzie, I'm not sure we've formally met, but pleased to see you here in this fine establishment. The Zagut's guide says it's the best bar in the area if every other place is closed, on fire, or set upon by zombies. I'll definately give your comp entry a vote and a comment today.

In the meantime, the usual.

How uncharacteristically sentimental of you. smile

Howdy Folks ?

A bit disappointed that the Driving Miss Daisy remake, albeit minus the sexual tension of the original, won the Oscar for best dick pic.

Clever line, you magnificent bastard.

Yeah, Bill, it is a beauty of an arcade. A lot of fascinatingly weird old games.

Just finished Russian Doll on Netflix. Pretty cool. Pretty trippy. I am a sucker for those multiple timeline tropes. And I love Natasha Lyonne. Anyone ever see Slums of Beverly Hills? One of her first movies, and funny.

Bourbon please.
When I was a kid I ate raw macaroni. Don't know why. It was really crunchy.
That's nice of you to say. I hope you enjoy.

Thoughtful, well-worded profile (and a very pretty avatar).

What is this 'penny arcade' you speak of? I could google it I know, but I'm not gonna deprive myself of a lesson from Verbal!

I'll take what V-Man is having too, thanks barkeep.

So happy you prefer me over Google Laura! I realized I never answered your question. The Penny Arcade--where everything actuallly costs a quarter--is one town over, a touristy place that is sort of a gateway to the mountains. The Arcade has been there forever, and has games from all eras: an ancient Skee-ball set-up (my single favorite thing to play), al the old school video games from Pac Man to Tempest to my beloved Galaga, old and new pinball machines that I am not that into, and other weird amusements. You win tickets and at the end you trade them in for little toys and candies. So, like $40 inn quarters results enugh tickets for a little $2 plastic toy.

One of the coolest places in all the world. My daughters love it.
She writes most excellent horror stories! And has excellent taste in friends.

Amazing. Some people get sick and feel sorry for themselves. Molly just steps up her game and verifies left right and centre, lol. Plus she's just one of the sweetest people around and has everyone heard her audio stories? Oh my...

Oh my indeed. Her voice just settles on your skin like a gentle touch.

Sexy, sweet, talented, and the biggest heart in the world. Congrats, Dollface!
It's a very tasty drink. smile Try one.

Thanks for the hot chocolate/sambuka. Yum.
A Hostess Snowball. Picture added to differentiate from the other kind of snowball. smile

Extreme close-ups. I like to see a woman's entire body reacting, and I LOVE facial expressions.

That said, I don't care about plot or realism or acting ability. It's porn.

I'm so glad Colman got one. She's my favourite actress.

She's REALLY funny in it, and I enjoyed the movie immensely, but I just didn't see it worthy of the award. Despite the period trappings, there wasn't a whole lot there.

I just watched her speech on Youtube - it was pretty charming.
I live on the sidelines for the most part during comps, I'd be happy to join Bill and Tonya there.

Lotsa good entires - and I think there are a few more I gotta hit.

One day I'll enter again. Write now I don't want to fuck up what little writing mojo I have.

Gonna be a crazy busy week But at least LJ returns at the end of it. I've been going a little nutty. Like, nuttier than usual.

Köffee please.
Just finished a story tonight so drinks're on me. I wrote a big chunk of The Story That Cannot Be Named this weekend too. And went to a Penny Arcade! No flies on me!

I see that Into the Spiderverse won best animated feature and Gaga won best actress, so I'm a happy man.

Bill, my Dad still tells that joke.

Three thick fingers of Bulleit please, barkeep.

you forgot "typewritery" smile

Typewriterier. i.e. - Her keyboard was pretty typewritery, but mine was typewriterier.
OMG there's a Mets game on TV in a half an hour! With deGrom on the mound! It must be Spring!

Nothing better than the Sunday paper, köffêè, and a baseball game on a Sunday morning.

The weekend started poorly but turned around nicely. Wrote a ton, went to a Penny Arcade (misnamed in that everything costs a quarter), had a great long distance date with LJ.

Thanks for the set-up, Tonya, and for hawking my stories on FB! I appreciate the signal boost. Sorry your writing mojo has left you, but it will return like a lost puppy I am sure.

Set me up with a mug please.
I miss Layla. And sales were bleak today. Wah.

Three fingers of Bulleit, please.
