I really liked season 1 of Westworld, I think i inflicted cruel and unusual punishment upon myself by watching season 2, then with no regard for my own safety, watched season 3.

They should have just stopped after season 1. Its pretty horrible after that.

I KNOW! It started out do good, and then got bad so quickly. They felt the need to add a "mythology.'

The Undoing started out strong but then fizzled. Still, Nicole Kidman. Sigh.

Just started The Flight Attendant, and it's Big Fun. Kayley Cuoco is such a likable actress. I think it's difficult to play a character as out of control as she is and remain sympathetic. She does. To be fair, my co-watching companion, who shall remain nameless, said it was "kind of annoying."
I fucking hate working out. It's SO boring. I enjoy a long walk, cuz I can look at stuff. But spending 1.5 hours on the exercise bike bores me silly. TV, music, radio doesn't help.

I've set up our ancient Wii console to see if I can get enough of a workout playing Sports Resort.
HUGS

This place is getting popular. Must be the soft-lit, romantic ambience of the peanut machine.

Hey LYFBUZ (whose name may or may not be an acronym), Skald (whose name means a composer and reciter of poems honoring heroes and their deeds) (just now Googled that), New Bunny Girl Fille (whose lagomorphic charms are self evident), and Larry (who has long haunted this bar but hasn't been here much of late), as well as all the regular regulars. Sprite! Xander! Kat! Multiple Scotts!

Even Ping is here! You Magnificent Bastard!

With all that intro, I've got very little to add. I've tired of the Think Tank here, post-election. It's just too tiring. It'll be interesting to see if Safe Harbor Day for the election actually makes a difference to this reality-challanged set of politicians. Maybe we can finally move the fuck on.

Sorry about the mini-rant.

Good news: I do know what LJ is getting me for Christmas, and it is WONderful.

Bring me köffee and I will bring you good luck forever.

This a question designed to be divisive. The E N T I R E country has something to offer. I've been to 49 of the 50 states (Alaska still beckons) and have found each and every state to have something to offer and something to despise. The four coasts (Atlantic, Pacific, Great Lakes, Gulf) are the same; different yet with something to offer. While my dad was in the Air Force, we lived on both coasts and both are great places with opportunities to sate every appetite. Maybe if everyone spent more time traveling and meeting people outside of their own cliche, the entire country might be better off.

Hey, I grew up in the Midwest, even went to college there, and after my 12 years in NYC, I moved to the Southwest. I love every place I've lived. Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Colorado, yadayadayada. I'm not even a city boy, probably more of a small town Midwestern boy at heart, but I went through so many profound changes and discoveries in my years in NYC it will always have a strong pull on me, like the moon influencing the tides.

California doesn't want you, traitorous east coast scum.

Really? We're gonna come stay at your house at the end of the trip. How long will we stay? FOREVEEEEEEER....
EAST COAST RULES!

I truly love New York City. Fond of California, and I can't wait to take a train up the Western California coast with my betrothed, so perhaps my preferences will change. But my formative young adult years were spent in NYC, so I suspect I am (happily) stuck with them.
Welcome to our little dive, bunny girl. We've had a few kitty types (be still my heart) lapping up milk and various other treats, but no bunnies before.

Skäld, you truly have a way with a blessing.

Hey Xander. Hey James.

Sprite, truly sorry to hear about your brother. I lost my sister years ago. Oddly I find myself drawn to those who have lost siblings, and visa versa. Perhaps we all sense the empty spot in each other and unconsciously attempt to fill it.

Had a flat tire this morning. Had to pump it up and rush over to the tire place before it went flat again. Annoying!!!

Finished a story I am VERY fond of this weekend.

HUGS

Köffee would be thrilling.

One can do both. I do both. I love a story that makes me feel "something" ... whether that something is joy or disgust. Like I think a 1 or 2 on a story means you made the reader feel something so strong they gave you that score. In my eyes, better than a reader being indifferent to my story.

This, so much. I've gotten quite a few 1s and 2s and consider them badges of honor.

Some of my favorite stories here are ones that draw me into a kink I might otherwise be repulsed by
HUGS

Hey Skäld, Emma, James, Xander, Kat, Carl, and anyone else who enters this oasis of insanity in a sane world.

Gill, so nice to see you pop your head in. Hope the holidays treat you and your family well. They can be tough I know.

Xander, do you like Jane in Best in Show and A Mighty Wind? I think those are my favorite performances of hers. Of course I am not a connoisseur like you. She's really talented.

Took a day off today. Do a little moving, do a little writing, play a little Civ 6. I resurrected the ancient old Wii and may play a little Wii Sports today too. Best console ever.

I found the PERFECT toy for my telescope - a sky aligner, that figures out what part of the sky it's pointed toward automatically, and can guide you to anything you want to see in the night sky. Sadly, it's pretty pricey - too pricey to really ask for it for Christmas. I will have to bite the bullet and buy it myself.

I hope everyone has a swell day. Hey Suze, I see you just see snuck in there.

Køffėë would be a dream.

Song to get myself out the door and take care of my animal charges
Robin Thicke ... Blurred Lines ft. T.I. Pharrell

Peace comes from ones heart and spreads though out your soul.

I love this video (and the R-rated version as well)! Not for the song so much (it's okay...) but because Emily Ratajkowski (had to look up how to spell that!) is so jaw-droppingly hot. Also, Pharrel looks likes he's having a TON of fun.

Two weeks of employment left.

Should be able to write THE END on my latest story today. Eight stories written this year. About 48,000 words. Looking to double that next year.

Anyway. HUGS!

Sorry about all the Covid, Kat.

Xander, who is Anne? A character of Jane's? I'm so confused.

James, I fully agree about y'all, it's a really useful word, with no correct English replacement. I'm a die-hard Yankee and I use it.

Köffee please, until the sea boils and the stars fall from the sky.
Hey Xander (and Jane by extension), Skaldï, James, Scott Fuzz, Kat. Bless all the setters of up.

HUGS

So sorry bout the Covid, Kat. I think I had it in January.

Love that Dylan song, and that whole album, Fuzz. I always thought that album--the beginning of Dylan's Christian phase--was underrated.

Trying to get my head into working. Trying to figure out what to give LJ for Christmas. Any suggestions?

I'd love a cuppa joe.

I like the way you say Skaldy, makes me all nordic and cool.

Will share a bourbon with you, could use a drink and a hug.

For the full Nordic experience, spell it Skaldï. We are big fans of the umlaut here at Rumps.

Digging the Jack Daniels hat, Sara!

Set up a round of bourbon shots barkeep. Let's get the afternoon started right.
I used to write literary until I realized Literary was just another genre.

Then erotica for several years.

Now I write horror and sci-fi. It's way more fun than literary. So was erotica.
HUGS

So I woke up this morning and thought, it's so nice to have the morning off. Then I thought, maybe I should take the rest of the day off. THEN I compromised and thought, I'll take off Friday.

I could get used to this.

Thanks for the co-setters up for setting things up: Tonya and Curves and Fuzz and our beloved Bill.

Hey James and Skaldy: I think flavor and sex go together like bacon and eggs.

Let's switch to iced tea. And by iced tea I mean bourbon.

This is a gift for someone, but it's really for me.

That's the most threatening sex toy I've ever seen. Looks like a frikkin nail gun.

I want this, and am not getting it, unless I buy it for myself.

I think a cup of coffee with her would be quite nice.
Yes, several times. Only ended up in a car accident once because of it. No one hurt.

Have you ever been standing on a driveway so slick you just started sliding down it from the slight slope of the drive?

That is some tune makes me think of Agnes and our work building the Circle, so a group of scared lonely Solitaires could find comfort in something larger then themselves. Peace, Friendship and Acceptance which is a hard thing when you're not part of a Tradition.

Roar you big beautiful lion, show me your fangs, the passion in your heart and make me feel blessed indeed to have such a wise friend to share this wild literary adventure.

A friend is a precious thing but a friend who creates, who knows the struggle to translate a concept into words, the fickle nature of a muse, the pain of writers block and the exhausted relief of a completed work. Those, are friends that understand what makes your heart beat, your mind tick, your soul breathe. Those are the friends you can be completely yourself with, and share that little fragile part of yourself that gets exposed every time you make a new piece of work.

Hey Skald. Welcome to the best bar in cyber-world, sitting on the fault line between the virtual and the actual.

Sorry about Jane, Josh.

Boy, that was a refreshing week. No work, the best holiday of the year (Thanksgiving is Christmas without all the bullshit), three more weeks left of work FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, and my office is nearly fully set up.

Not much else going on. I don't even have to hang up Christmas decorations, it's all been outsourced to my daughter and her boyfriend.

Gotta get to work. Köffee would soothe my fevered brow.
I live in one of the more livable cities in the US - Colorado Springs. Too expensive to really be in the running. And I'm guessing the reason there were no US cities on the list is the lack of a working health care system in this country for anyone but the wealthy.

Those two things said, I love this town. A bubbling local arts scene, and the mountains on your doorstep, and lovely New Mexico an hour away.

Good morning all. It's finally Saturday which means no extra kids for me. Thank you for the setup Carl. Nicola sorry you aren't feeling well. I'm looking forward to this comp. James today at my house is our annual booze making day. My sons and other half are making Apple Pie Shine. I've tasted the real stuff you speak of and let me tell you. That stuff is powerful. I can't even call it a taste. More like it touched my lips. The smell would intoxicated you for a week and we were able to start our lawn mower with it. It was that potent. Ours is made with everclear which is pretty potent as well.

Now I'm off to make breakfast. So I'll grab my tea and pop back later. Enjoy your day everyone and please stay safe. Hugs all around.

I had some of this at my Dad's memorial. My uncle made it - fermented AND with Everclear, just like yours - and we sipped it as we stood amongst the tombstones. Good stuff. He taught me how to make Limoncello too.

I'll stick with caffeine today. Putting up Christmas decorations (minus the tree). I don't enjoy the task, but after decades of doing it we should be done quickly.

HUGS

Enjoy the holidays all.
Mmmm...leftovers all day. And for supper: leftovers casserole!

I know that food hangover feeling too Buz, but I was very good this year. So far, anyway.

HUGS

I hope everyone took a moment to give thanks, and I hope everyone had a multitude of things to be thankful toward. 2020 was a tough fucking year.

Today, in addition to food and many, many rounds of MarioKart, I am putting together my new office at LJs. Big Fun! I get to spend all day with books! Reinforcing the bookcases, then wiping off each book before sliding it onto the shelves (heh). My baseball collection comes over next.

A LOT of köffee please.

ok, so now i'm a fan. smile

I KNOW! Too bad they went to jail. It's not illegal to have a thresome in a church. It should be mandatory.

All they had to do was pull the frikkin shades.

Great story. My kinda holiday cheer.
It's important to have goals.

"Court documents state that prior to the arrests, Dixon had announced on social media she was traveling to the New Orleans area to "defile a house of God" with another dominatrix."

HUGS

Happy Thanksgiving all. There's a lot to be thankful for.

Listening to Alice's Restaurant as the smell of turkey fills the house. Just beat my daughter's boyfriend in Playstation baseball, so I am in a good mental space. Many, many rounds of MarioKart will follow T-Day dinner.

I'd be thankful for a shot of Fuzzy's Jamesons.
