Wow, that's super generous Kimmi. Trying to tell a sexy story that hints at a bigger world in just 40 words is a brain melter for sure. Thank you.

Duct tape might be handy if you're also fancying a little light bondage play, followed by waxing your wrists. Not recommended.

Pritt Stick doesn't even hold bits of paper up on display walls, so that's out. Maybe Copydex? The meet-in-the-middle glue.

Invest in some string, sellotape and glue so at least if the bits do start dropping off, you can reattach them and nobody will be any the wiser.

We rarely change category unless it's been obviously mis-categorised.

And further to what Jen said, use the category for the main theme and tags for the remaining themes, to maximise your chances of someone browsing tags they are interested in and finding your story.

I will not get tired of praising Molly's taste. Every booty she posts, I start barking at the screen

Glad I'm not the only one.

My cat telling me he's hungry. Which is a LIE because I've fed him already.

Yeah, cute kitty, let's see if you can compete with Gydra.

Here's an AI-generated photo from the cover of another (probably never going to see the light of day) story I started. Not entirely sure why it gave her a necklace and a choker when I specifically only asked for one, but I'll overlook that because of the way it captured the beautiful selfie vibe I was after.

Not sure it's classed as sexy, smutty, fucktastic but I'm in, under the title "It's not you, it's me":

--

Swaying—all hips, allure and no underwear—into the dusty truckstop diner wearing that flower sundress I bought, provided another reason.

They linked fingers across the table. Giggled.

I craved to fuck her again, even as I centered the crosshairs.

Continguing the string of collabs, I've teamed up with the talented PurdyPeaches to help out on her spooky horror tale, Skeletons In My Closet.

Not content with one dabble in the darkness, I then lent a hand to KimmiBeGood to bring Fucking With Art to life.

So grab your teddy bears, curl up and let us whisk you away into the super unknown...

I have 27 pages to clear!

Best get reading then 😁

I don't know the status of this request, sorry. There's loads of stuff on the development list so I'm not sure how far down this is.

Quoted notifications were definitely a feature in Lush 1.0. In addition to following a topic, people used it to drag others into a conversation they thought would interest the other person by 'tagging them' with a fake quote.

That practice was arguably a hack to get round the fact we didn't have @mentions.

Would @mentions be a better system than quoting someone? Or an additional feature, perhaps? That way we can draw attention to threads in a few ways.

Watching a topic is certainly one way to be notified, but sometimes you might have thrown your 2 cents in, but don't care enough about it to be notified of every response by everyone. So some form of (opt-in/out) notification might be handy. Whether that's when someone quotes you or @mentions you, or both, is up to whether the developers can implement it in this homegrown forum.

I'm certainly not averse to it, but care does need to be taken that we limit the amount of notifications in case bots take it upon themselves to sign up and @mention or fake quote one or more people and clog the site with notifications.

Not Invented Here, perhaps? Or maybe the license model of off-the-shelf (free, not paid) forum software precludes using it for adult content? Since the forum already existed when Lush moved in, perhaps it didn't make sense to repave. I don't know. Just speculating.

I happen to find notification-on-quote an irritating feature, especially when bots hit the site and fake quote everything, creating a glut of potential DOS notifications.

Yeah. I can't be bothered editing the pics, beyond adding the story titles, so I just keep tweaking the inputs and hitting Generate until something decent crops up. It's so annoying when it spews out the perfect shot except the model is cross-eyed, or their hand is part of the furniture, or they have 9 fingers on one hand, that all look like prawn stir fry.

My current main squeeze is sexy.ai because it's the only freely(ish) available service that accepts a freeform text prompt. But some of its engines are really limited. They seem to have only been trained on a handful of images so they all tend to come out with the same features, regardless if you ask for a particular age range or item of clothing or nose shape or breast size or no makeup or, heaven forbid, that the model actually has hips/a tummy. The best ones seem to be Natural Sin and any of the Realistic Vision ones, though they've gone downhill a bit recently and lean towards the slightly less realistic end of the spectrum (so they can charge for the premium versions that do ultra realistic cinematic content).

You also have to be very specific on colour. If you say "green eyes" and don't specify any other colours, they'll get green clothing too, and green flashes on scenery or green highlights in their hair. It's a bit annoying to have to be so prescriptive sometimes.

stock art is probably still better

Agreed. Can't justify the expenditure though on something I don't get paid for.

Same reason I bought the Affinity suite instead of Adobe. I do occasional publishing work and occasional photo/design work, which doesn't justify the, comparatively exorbitant for my needs, Adobe CC subscription model.

Here's one I didn't end up using for a possible forthcoming gym story. It was close, but the dodgy eye and the fact she was using a different machine to the one I asked for (to match the story) meant that it was relegated to the bin. Still a good image though.

I find it slightly amusing that even with all the mods, it can take just as long here as it does on Lit, where it's just Laurel.

Hehe, yeah. That's the trouble with having standards. They take time and effort!

It’d be nice I think if Brookall and Sholbin83 could be given theirs back

If it's possible to make it behave in a 'once attained, stays forever' manner, I'm sure that can be done.

I wonder if date one got Omnium matters. I got mine on an earlier date than Susie/Brookell.

Could well be.

I don't know if that glitch is fixed or not

I expect not too. But it's not a glitch per se. Like all badges that have numerical counters attached, it is goal-oriented and linked to a value.

Most badges aren't likely to get revoked after attainment, but they might under exceptional circumstances. E.g.

  • If you posted exactly 10K forum posts but then deleted one, you'd lose your Forum Myriad badge until you passed the threshold again.

  • If you co-authored 3 stories and then your writing partner deleted their account you'd lose your Collaborator badge.

  • If you had 100 friends and then one deleted or unfriended you, your Socialite badge would go.

  • If a bunch of categories were added and that took you below 80% of completed categories, you'd lose Prolific Writer status.

And so on. You get the picture. Omnium is probably no different and is based on programmatical logic. Gav made it different by making it an exception. Likewise it probably needs to be treated differently here (if it's not already).

The fact that some lost it and some kept it is baffling. Unless those that kept it did so under v1 code. Can't remember exactly when facesitting was added.

Anyway, the request is lodged. From a human perspective it feels like it should remain after being won. From a logic perspective, it depends how the badge is awarded as to how easy it is to code it to behave differently - and indeed if any other badges should behave likewise.

Quote by deviantsusie
you now lose the badge when new categories are added. I had to do a Facesitting story to get mine back and Brookall lost hers for the same reason.

Ah, that could be one of the things that needs addressing on Lush V2. It was probably a(nother) hack that Gav put in to maintain the award even if the categories change.

I'll ask the question for you and see whether there's anything that can be done to keep it if the categories change. It doesn't seem very fair that you lose it just because the goal posts move!

Also didn't know about the poem categories, so thanks for clarifying that. I sit corrected.

Omnium is a great goal. I might make it one day too, but I need to branch out more.

You are free to republish your stories in any category. Sometimes new categories are added which are a better fit for old stories. It might not even trigger a resub to the moderators. I'm not sure though. Add a note in the Moderator Notes box just in case so that we know that's the extent of the changes.

If you haven't done already, I would suggest using the Series Link feature to join the chapters too.

I don't think the poetry categories are included in the count. And I think Fantasies is also exempt but I'm not 100% on that.

If new categories are added, your badge will still remain. I think it only impacts anyone who goes for the badge after the category is introduced. As far as I know there aren't any plans to add new categories any time soon.

I've notified the developers of the omission, thanks for flagging it. I'd forgotten about having the ability to order by category. That was handy.

It'll go on the list, I'm sure. But how big that list is, and where it features, I have no idea.

And try adding ‘small breasts’ in an AI bot! Really?! It’s enough to give me an inferiority complex. 🤣X

Haha yeah. Tried that as well. The engines' definition of small and mine differ by approximately 4 cup sizes.

garbage, full of bloated, wasted boilerplate and - I swear - an increasing number of factual errors.

Yeah. This is especially true in the retail sector. Product descriptions are copied from site to site or taken from an incorrect datasheet and amplified on every seller site.

Think of how much global energy would be saved if we could delete all the duplicate content from the web. The internet would probably all fit on a floppy disk.

Now if only genAI could create images with realistic pubic hair

Amen to that. I tried today as I was making a story cover and this was the closest it got to "a full thatch of dark pubic hair":

^^ wot Susie said 100%.

Just don't ask AI to create a picture of two people shaking hands at the moment.
