These conservatives recently installed after being appointed by Trump are going to set this country back to the 1940s - doing their part to make America great again (for conservative Caucasians who claim to also be Christians). I came across this article this morning and after reading it I couldn't find any faults with the author's retelling of the events which occurred and landed Clarence Thomas on the bench for life, in 1991. I even learned a few 'minor things' which occurred in the background (because President Joe Biden steered them into obscurity - as he was working in concert with Republicans to land this particular jerkwad onto the court).
This is faithful to history for anyone who wants a refresher or younglings who were born in the 80s/90s/00s and never learned about this sordid chapter of appointing a new justice. His wife, Ginny - attempted to overthrow the 2020 election as well and he won't recuse himself from hearing anything related to that incident which comes before the court.

I like this - I must admit, I failed to check this out in August of last year. I've since read and re-read this poem, half a dozen times since the 1st of this year. It resonates with me. I'm reminded of the multi-cultural blend of my family.
I have met and made friends with people, my age or older/younger - over the last decade who all are targets (because of the blends of their families or because of their own lifestyle decisions) of the MAGA movement and the degenerates who dominate that Nationalistic flavor of the mid 2000s Tea Party.
I live in the rural boondocks of Missouri - a purpling state, which turned over in the 1998 election cycle from a predominantly Blue state for many decades to a seething red state of MAGA influence. In many ways, Missouri has mirrored the state of Texas, as both states have devolved & slid into their current political iterations.
Both states are in need of a revolt and sanitizing cleansing at the ballot boxes this November.
I want my family and friends and their families to not live with troubling concerns about their physical safety and/or mental/emotional sanity for the rest of their lives. I wish to extinguish the mental targets they all feel upon themselves. Daily.

There are other examples; in a Carvana ad, the woman is clearly hen-pecking her husband; in Expedia travel ads, it is almost always young women off having adventures; Spectrum ran an ad for a long where the man has picked the wrong cable company. In a PSA on Autism, a female voiceover depicts mostly women/girls struggling with Autism, although Autism is more common in boys. If a financial company depicts a shady (remember Schwab ads with "Carl") character, the shady character is a man. This list goes one.
