I like this - I must admit, I failed to check this out in August of last year. I've since read and re-read this poem, half a dozen times since the 1st of this year. It resonates with me. I'm reminded of the multi-cultural blend of my family.

I have met and made friends with people, my age or older/younger - over the last decade who all are targets (because of the blends of their families or because of their own lifestyle decisions) of the MAGA movement and the degenerates who dominate that Nationalistic flavor of the mid 2000s Tea Party.

I live in the rural boondocks of Missouri - a purpling state, which turned over in the 1998 election cycle from a predominantly Blue state for many decades to a seething red state of MAGA influence. In many ways, Missouri has mirrored the state of Texas, as both states have devolved & slid into their current political iterations.

Both states are in need of a revolt and sanitizing cleansing at the ballot boxes this November.
