The battle of two flaws: Cautious / Impulsive.
Joseph Campbell
Nella Larson
Toni Morrison (even though I've met her).
Langston Hughes
Whitman
(One of them is paying for it and it's first class)
I used to be the little girl in the commercials for a popular European
sweet snack. They would straight iron my hair to remove the natural
curls and give me Shirley Temple curls. At the time, I felt
humiliated by that. All I had to do was lick my lips, smile like
it was the best thing in the world and say "Mmm".
The money I earned fed my mother and I for quite some time
because she had lost her job. After that I refused to do
any more auditions.
Mmm...looks like I'm riding on top of you.
Mmm...sexy. I think I'll have to follow you.
I run every day and work out frequently. My outfits are quite form fitting. I go pantyless because I hate panty lines. The same with yoga pants. Sometimes I don't wear them by request. Sometimes to tease in public. Nothing gets you home from a boring event faster than an open legged peek from across the room or a little play underneath the table.
I reread it, reread it, reread it and reread it before I submit a story.
Every once in a while I may go back and read something after
submission; it may be something I wrote last month or two years ago.
It's painful because each time I see a mistake, I see where I could have
done better or I wonder why in the hell did I let someone read that.eQYF95Dw9XP3TIhA
(You guys do realize that reread does not need to be hyphenated.)
I think that Cyndy is on to something. "Love you" is like a quick kiss from my husband and back to life.
An "I love you" is a stop, look in each other's eyes and a deep, meaningful kiss. It's a solid break from everything else in our lives.
