The divine Elle "the body" Macpherson

I had a feeling you'd say Elle!
Which supermodel do you admire or just like to look at?! I LOVE Taylor Hill, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel. Though Kloss probably wins because of her endeavours outside of modelling. How about you?

it took me a good thirty seconds to figure out 'sham pain', mike. i think i'll pass but i will read your newest story. congrats to Bill's Tigers and Buz's Dawgs (i have no idea what i'm talking about.)

I don't think it takes a very peculiar person at all, imo. At least when I have a new story out, I love checking out the feedback. So I'll watch my timeline eagerly, answer comments as they come in, etc etc. So it's inevitable that I noticed a score change if I had the luxury to be online while it happened. Of course if a bunch of votes came in when I wasn't around, then yes, of course, there was no way for me to know.

Or maybe I'm just peculiar... ;)

no, you're not peculiar. i was in a rather rude mood when i wrote that, lol. but my eventual point (which i failed to write) is that it takes a peculiar person to (a) figure out who's given then a low score and (b) THEN maybe block/be hostile towards the low-scorer. i believe this is the reason the system has been changed.

It should take you to the next unread message in your inbox. Is this what you expect / see ?

yes, it does take me to the next message now. a couple of days ago i was being sent back to my inbox. but it's fine now, thank you.

When you click 'Read next' in messages, it just takes you back to the inbox, and not the next message!

Any progress on this or is it just me who finds it mildly inconvenient?

I'd really like it if the story tags were displayed at the bottom of the story instead of up the top. They're hard to ignore sometimes and it can really be a spoiler in some cases, ruining the suspense.

Those who can't help themselves or who otherwise might be a little sensitive to certain subject matter can still give the tags at the end of a story a quick skim before they start reading.

I've never thought of this as a problem. If I had some kind of twist in a story then I wouldn't put tags which gave it away. Other than that, I know my readers will expect some kind of action and the tags I give are generally intended to kinda up the anticipation.
hey bill.

no questions and thanks for the great introduction!

i'll take a regular coke, kindly refuse the pistachios, and wish everyone a happy new year!

I've submitted two stories since the new system. With the old system, formatting such as italics survived the copy and paste. With the new, I've had to add those formatting changes in by hand in the submission pane. (and both times, as I've mentioned before, the copy and paste also added extra spacing between paragraphs).

I've only copied and pasted from google docs, my preferred composition venue. I haven't yet tried copying from Word, which I may try next time.

(using google docs on Safari, on a MBP running Sierra 10.12.2)

thanks!

Word has worked perfectly for me in the last couple of weeks. The formatting/bold/italics all come through beautifully. It's like manna from heaven!

24 hour time is the norm in many places around the world and does away with the pesky am and pm. just subtract 12. after a while you'll get used to it and won't even think twice.

I've never thought of the 24 hour clock as 'military' time. Is this like an American thing???

This was in the Improvement/Feedback thread:

My mind was a little blown....

I'm still not sure how I feel about it tbh! I didn't really see the reason for a change. I certainly don't mind if someone sees that I've been voting on their story and if I felt strongly enough to give less than a 4/5 then I wouldn't mind them knowing about it. Besides it takes a very peculiar person to keep a close eye on their votes to the extent that they can suss out who has been low-scoring them. Idk. Maybe it was a big problem.

I did. Pure stealth ninja, me, lol. Meant to msg you to say I'd done it, but got sidetracked by a roll and bacon. Yum. (Brown sauce, before you ask!)

lol, thank you!

this deserves more cake...

Only moderators can do this. I had a look at your story to tidy it up for you but couldn't see any duplicate comments.

thanks, Liz! i think jen kindly removed them.
When you click 'Read next' in messages, it just takes you back to the inbox, and not the next message!

Also, I swear I used to be able to delete peoples' comments off my stories. This was very useful if someone accidentally commented the same thing a number of times. But now there's no delete button. (My story 'Lane' has been sadly afflicted.)

I think its very useful. I find myself curious about the actual time of those I chat with in the rooms and often ask the question and by the same token I get asked often too.

I really cant get my mind around it being a privacy matter.

Yes, I agree totally. I have been happily chatting away whilst not realising a person has to go to work! The new feature is very useful and I love it.

Do any of you women actively seek out a married man? If so what do you enjoy about it? Are there certain places you go to find them?

do you really think women are like predators, hunting down married men? no! i can imagine a woman having an affair with a married guy but i don't think the fact of his marriage would be a turn on for her.
