No, I will not apologise for any of those things, because I did none of those things. I answered your question to the best of my ability. I then also responded to follow-up posts of yours which were only tentatively related (if at all) to your original question.
Also, it would be paradoxical to make a post promising not to make "off-topic" posts in "your" thread or any other thread. Likewise, I worry that if I did apologise, you would then complain that I was going off-topic again.

It's not all about skimpiness, but rather what suits the woman. A fuller-figured lady in an itty-bitty bikini can look ridiculous. There's a lot to be said for modesty.
There's also the factor of comfort. Women want to feel good in what they're wearing, and feel that they look good. Little scraps of material that barely cover the foof and nips might not be the way to achieve that.
It's the same with me and swimwear. While a lot of women might think men look hotter in tight trunks, that's really only certain men. I would look ridiculous, which is why I wear shorts (not that I swim much).

This was your original post. You asked whether the styles were accepted on Lush. You were told no, and you were told why, in great detail. Essentially, the thread has served its purpose. The conversation has continued and evolved, as they are wont to do.
This topic was about your story being rejected for a number of reasons, one of which was the fact that you did not conform to the site's expected dialogue format. The intention of your post, I suspect, was to get people to back you up. That didn't really happen.
The impression I get is that you feel you are not allowed to flex your "creative muscles" as much as you would like here on Lush, that you are not being given enough wiggle room. That's why the mods were brought up.
You've had your question answered, and it has, evidently, provided a decent starting point for a wider discussion. The thread can go as off-topic as it wants now, because there's nothing left to say about your original question.

Per my grad school thesis requirements, nope.
Depends on the field. In mathematics, academic research is more cumulative. I've referenced work over seventy years old that is no less relevant today than it was then.
In certain areas of education, too, there is a lot to be said for some of the work of the eighties and nineties, though more recent research is preferable.
In psychology, I'd guess ten years is probably your limit.

Mods are accommodating. We hear out reasonable requests. The vast majority of us are writers ourselves, and we understand.
We have a house style. In whose interest is this style? Readers, new and amateur writers, and (quite importantly) the mods. So, basically, 99.9% (probably more) of our membership benefit from our push for consistency. We need something to work to, or it becomes a free-for-all and, frankly, a mess.
Be creative, please, I beg of you. In the land of adult fiction, we NEED creative. But be creative in your plot and character development, be creative in your vocabulary and sentence structure. Even be creative with your style, but please don't give your loving mods headaches unnecessarily. We're not being unreasonable; we're just doing our job the best we can.
