Our checks and balances system worked well for 200 years or so. But with McConnell stealing a justice seat and the appointment and approval of justices whose politics mean more than upholding the Constittution it has been failing. Plus Roberts is a weak Chief Justice who doesn’t seem to want to do battle with the 3 arch conservatives on the Court.
