I am flying out to see Layla early next week, and we are road-tripping back here! She will officially live here in 8 days! Huzzah! This has been in the planning stages for over a year!

It's time for a little celebration for me. I'll have a virgin Hannah, Rump man.
I just had a micro fiction approved on 'sacre bleu' and it was lucky enough to get a Recommended Read. I think it is one that should be seen by a lot of people. If anyone wants to check it out then remember it is only 100 words. Not a lot to read. Here you go.

Thanks friends and neighbors.
On a lesser note I have some sunflowers just starting to sprout against the back of the townhouse. I'll keep you informed as to their growth.![]()

Hot black coffee, please, and a tall cold Bloody Mary!
Rump, your LSU does have quite a long storied history in Track & Field. For UGA, this national title in Track & Field is a first. The Dawgs usually excel at the spring sports, men's and women's tennis, and golf, women's swimming & diving, and have a pretty good baseball and softball tradition. I also know that LSU has a great baseball history.
Also, UGA made world history one spring in mass streaking. 2,000 naked students jogged over that bridge by Sanford Stadium and the campus went nude, forcing the school to call off classes for a few days.
Did anyone watch Justify win The Triple Crown at The Belmont Stakes yesterday? My wife and l were at a Belmont Party where we watched it. What an awesome horse.

I'm jealous. My youngest son brought home tickets to the hockey game tonight. He and my better half are attending the game. I'm watching at home with my middle son. It's a good night so far. Three-zero for the Caps and into the second period.
I'll take a Jen's Jolter. I need to stay up so I can pick them up at the subway when the game is over. It's actually feeling pretty good in the DC area for a change. Winning hockey beats politics any day!
I'm in a good mood so I'll buy a round of drinks for all. With lost of cocktail umbrellas of course.
Oh Gill - wasn't it the BEST! I am so glad your better half and son got tickets. What a wild, wild, insane number of people in D.C. tonight - all in red.
What a score....had to make us nervous when it was they scored that 2nd point - but 6-2 is a very hefty and decisive score.
Thanks for the drink and I will save the umbrella for you.

, but it definitely takes a back seat to hockey for a lot of us until June when the Stanley Cup is done.
Hi everyone that is watching hockey . The Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightening have started play a few minutes ago that will tell us if the Capitals are done for the season or might have one more chance. Maybe a Tailgater would lessen the tension - one please barkeep.

Being a Washington Capitals fan for over 30 years might just be paying off. We made it past the second round and beat the Penguins. No offense to Pittsburgh but you don't need another Stanley Cup.
It's a beautiful sunny warm day here and life is manageable for now. I'll take a Hannah with as many umbrellas as you can fit into in to celebrate the Caps win and I will pay for everyone's drinks tonight.
Cheers Everyone!
