Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and Assam teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.
Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now reelin' with the feelin'.
Today we're using Gothrider Coffee blend – "To ignite your soul" and push you through the rest of the week!

Plus I've got some mocha cuppycakes.

Jane and I stayed at the ranch since the country roads were impassable with crazed drivers.

Yeah right. I live in one of the snowiest parts of Ontario. Drove home from Mississauga (suburb or Toronto) in a snowstorm about a month ago. There were dingbats flying down the passing lane as if it were mid-summer. The traffic as a whole was pretty sane, but there's always ones who think they're better than the others or that their big honking SUV somehow magically protects them. I only saw one crash that day but colleagues who came back later (we had been at a work event) said they saw people in the ditch.

Both my Lions and your Chiefs lost yesterday. ☹️☹️Today any Black Friday shopping will be online because we will be busy putting up our new Christmas tree and decorating the mantle and buffet with new Christmas Village houses and shops. All of our Christmas decor (besides the ornaments and stockings) were destroyed in Hurricane Helene last year. We had no tree last year, no lights, no garland. No ceramic figures ice skating on a faux pond.
But the fact that over 40 years of ornaments and the stockings that had been hand-stitched with love and care have survived feels like a miracle.
And I suspect that's exactly how it will feel later when we admire our handiwork and see our eclectic collection of ornaments adorning a new tree.

I went out to buy my Thanksgiving dinner and I will prepare a meal, but making a meal for one seems pointless. Yet, I feel doing nothing would only darken my morass.
