i have seen this before. the forum software ensures that a post only comes from a page from its server. it does this by checking the url Referrer sent with the request. some browsers (for security reasons) do not sent this, so it fails.
i think i may remove this check, let me know if this works later on today.
excellent. if anyone has found a way onto the old PM system let me know.
thanks
hey rx, can you send me the email you received. i suspect there's still people using the old PM system, i need to find out how!
awesomness.......
thanks for letting us know
i know exactly what's causing this.
can you check again see if its any better now?
Who ever would have thought a lonely old stormstopper would have ever hocked up with someone from the rebel alliance, let alone princess lea herself!
Can you feel the force, luke.........
this we have a winner..........give it another go
not much movement either from this end.
are you sure its animated, have you seen it before you posted it to lush?
hey pam, i've seen your problem. will be fixed in the next day or so.
thanks
well spotted wicked, i'll change it now
yep, i've been meaning to remove that timezone selection. its legacy stuff left over from the forum membership.
jason, you've raised some interesting points. the original intent was to show what your friends had been doing on lush, including voting on stories. this was more of a recommendation, for good stories to followers of that member.
i think this would be an issue if we kept the votes public, permanently, but we dont. what you see on the recent activity is a fraction of actually whats going on. there is no way to view historically the activity of a member.
if there are still concerns im happy to make this configurable, so an individual can hide their story votes. this should please catnip the control freak!
ok i just snuck in total votes, avg score and views.
does it look ok?
@jason
the recent activity area is contextual. if a surfer, or one of your friends looks at your profile page they see your recent activity. however, if you look at your profile page you see the recent activity (top 10) of all your friends (sorted by date).
interesting point on story scores. do people really what this information private? maybe we can make it an option to keep them hidden, what do people think?
its nice to have some RnR time, thanks!
i think the tits are fair for learning html, but css and javascript, thats a whole different ball park!
chef, wouldnt you feel safer with it covered in rubber?
down under, we might say she has tits like a pair of footy socks. by the looks of things, they were circa 1920
from a technical standpoint, IE8 is their best yet. its css2 compatible, so sites *should* render exactly the same in FF, chrome, safari and IE8.
@ling-li, you probably find it more stable than FF because they isolate each tab separately. this means a plugin (flash) or a slow javascript page wont crash your browser, unlike FF, *cough* *cough*
i have just added browser sniffing to the home page. if i detect an IE6 browser they get a dirty big red error message, upgrade your out of date browser, please, wont you think of the children.
my browser of choice is still FF3x, i couldnt live without my plugins....
sorry folks, there was a bug in there. good news is the stories were no lost, so i have restored them.
let me know if you have any further problems.
