Does the python get to use its fingers when it's eating Ron's gooey parts?

The Thing (1982) vs The Thing (2011) :

Setting: Antarctica

The Thing (1982) would win hands down. While it takes longer to absorb and change its cells than the 2011 version. It is more intelligent, preferring to hide in its imitation rather than attacking out in the open where everyone can see it.

Two Habus (a venomous snake in Japan and Okinawa) vs one mongoose. I already know the answer to this one.

Goodbye America, it was nice while it lasted. Thanks for the support and protection. We gave you our trust and with it power and influence in return. You'll keep your military power of course, but less and less alies will (want to pretend to) trust you, now that you've switched sides to Putin. This means you'll only have bully power left, and it's already showing.

The world has known for a long time that you were not the shining example of democracy that you've portrayed yourself to be. You have had a winner takes all attitude for a long time. It's why you ended up with a highly polarized political system, with only two parties that matter. It's why your capitalism reverted back to feudalism, your demcracy to oligargy and why it's possible that the goal you once had, to spread democracy around the world, turned to visions of colonialism.

Europe leaned on the US for too long. We should've upped our game way earlier, and unfortunately currently it's a very bad moment to finaly come to that realization. Ukraine is, and will likely even more so, pay the price for that.
But I hope the US will not take just as long to realize what you might be losing right now as well. Friends who trusted you will leave you. You'll be one the bullies, a powerful one for sure, for now ate least. But one that no one will trust. And with that a lot of power and influence will disappear.

Yup. What happened yesterday was an absolute disgrace. There is power in numbers. The USA has chosen to isolate itself. We depend so much on imports, it won't take long before this country starts to feel the impact. From having worked in manufacturing, I can tell you the company I worked for had a hard time finding parts that are even made here. They are going to have to pay tariffs on those, causing them to charge more or eat the increase.

When Trump said that Putin respects him, I wish Zalenski had told him, "If he respects you so much, why don't you tell him to quit fighting and withdraw?" That would certainly accomplish peace which is what Trump said he wanted. Of course, that is not what he wants. He proved that with his words.
