My background is varied and at times, a tad strange—which pretty much is also self defining. My first love is/was horticultural but bill paying as a “grownup” became design. Mostly in the graphic arts field, though I can pretty much design anything. Specialized in publications, magazines in particular. Have a printing background as well as gigs in advertising and PR. Quite often worked as a freelancer or vendor but sometimes accepted being chained to desk…or…drawing board at a company. Did some work with local/regional publications but most was for national markets—including one Fortune 500 company. Have done web design and entire websites with the idea they more “dynamic” than the printed page—they’re not. Have a love/hate relationship with the digital age and all things related to it. Bumble Bees seem attracted to me. Have two internet friends who I wouldn’t know if we tripped over one another. Relationship goes back more than a decade. We stay connected nearly daily.

Ride bicycles, would love to throw my leg over a motorcycle again but lunatic fringe drivers are a tad overboard. Kayaking is my meditation and poetry. Read incessantly and proud bearer of the tin foil hat brigade. (Find colanders a bit overwrought). Used to photograph quite a bit but camera now weeps silently. Tend to be a wandering spirit and currently looking to move yet again. Seems to be an every three to five year event.
