I’d taken ten pounds out of the kitty and gone to Waitrose to buy fruit loops. I’d have sent my boyfriend, but he was too busy spanking the monkey. And all I could find to wear was his banana hammock. Is that really reason to arrest me, Your Honour?

It suddenly occurs to me, is there some point to profile visits besides a feeling of Gee, I'm popular? It's not like you know who they are or why they are there. I've never had anyone reach out about it, but that's probably just a measure of me. Have anyone?

Not much point, no. But then, does there have to be? All social media is basically about showing off in one form or another.

Story hits are the same. I write to please myself, but I'm happy to admit that I get a kick out of seeing one of my stories get a lot of hits. What writer doesn't?

This although I know someone who'd def disagree lol

I love Ben Wheatley's films. This is like "Nuts In May" written by Tarantino. What made it really creepy watching it was that I'd been to lots of the places featured as a child.

When I was writing my Lush story "The Offering" I'd just seen "A Field In England" on TV, and I tried to capture some of that hallucinogenic otherworldliness. It's a very different film from "Sightseers" of course.
I'm still surprised I've got as many profile views as I have, since there are others who've been here longer than me or have a higher "profile" as admin/mods.

I suppose it's a bit of all the things the original poster mentioned. I have written a fair number of stories (though not as many as some), and some of them have had a lot of views (though again not as many as some). I can't comment on the quality, but some have had RRs and ECs (though not always the same ones that have had a lot of views).

I don't spend much time in the chat rooms these days, though I did when I was new here. And I do post fairly regularly in the forums, though mostly in the sexy/funny threads. And sorry, I never spend time on Live Cams!

Other things I do is have a full profile page, which I admit is written in order to titillate as well as inform (that's not to say it isn't true, though). I've got some pictures in both my image gallery and the photo albums, which gives people something to look at.

I also wonder if something as simple as having a good username and avatar pic is helpful. That way someone new who sees one of my forum posts (however vacuous it may be) will be tempted to click on my page link. And that's one more page view straight away...

Roger is right I'm sure that being female helps.
At least not according to a recent UK survey. People between 18-30 don't understand any of these words either...

Speaking as a member of this group, I wish I could say that this survey is balderdash, and that the wally who did it must have been sozzled. But maybe I'm in a minority...

In any case, I hereby declare that the next "Lush" story I write will include all of these words!

Annie (a randy trollop who loves to bonk).
I'd introduce her to the joys of skinny-dipping. Although with a bit of luck she'd already be a fan!
