Saucy, you might need to clear your cache to revert to the old style sheet.

If that doesn't work, it means Gav is working on the fixes.
We are transitioning to a slightly different / new modern look which makes the site responsive on all devices.

There are always people who either don't like change or don't like a new design, so Gav has kindly added an option to turn off the responsive style sheet when on a mobile device.

It is in your settings / privacy section: https://www.lushstories.com/membership/update-details.aspx?s=privacy

Working through all these issue, please bear with me!

In the meantime there is an option now to disable the responsive style sheet:

Brilliant, thanks Gav!

I'll post this as a separate sticky thread as there are a lot of people who either don't like change, or would prefer waiting until all the fixes are in place.

As you can imagine folks, it's going to be a work in progress for a few weeks or so, until we get it right.

My bio page on the phone is okay, though massively important things like stories are now only a link. I am extremely dissapointed in that. Stories are what this place is about. I'd think, we as authors would want our top stories to be prominent and seen by anyone accessing our page.

I absolutely loved our bio pages the way they were. Like Coca-Cola, when it is already great, why change it?

We have collapsed the "Stories" on the bio page, as if someone had say 250 stories, it would require endless scrolling. How about we had that section expanded to say 5 of the person's latest stories loaded by default, like the "About" section, with a link to see more?

On my desktop computer, my bio page is a mess. Large blank areas, then you finally see something if you scroll down a long way.

Just restoring the desktop site back would be great, with an option to have it for the phone.

But this mobile version is much better than the old one.

The profiles CSS is being worked on. I have noticed a few issues with the RHS not wrapping correctly for example.

Gav has a big list of issues which will be fixed up in due course.

Please keep the feedback coming folks!

I with all my soul prefer the previous desktop version for my phone mobile, and on my desktop.

There will be some teething problems over the coming weeks I'm sure.

It sounds like we may need to add a "Switch to Classic Lush" mode for those who don't like change / while we're in transition.

If you can give us as much information as possible about what's not working for you from a user's perspective, with screenshots if you can, we'll try and address any issues as best as we can.
So are we there yet Gav, are we there, are we?

Excellent work over the last 4 months getting this going. =d>

I hate to be all anal (especially on this site), but 'thwap' is neither old, nor British. It was first used in the United States in the 1960s.

The old English word you might be thinking of is 'thwack', first used in 1533.

I'm sure I've had countless edits on my stories, with good reason. I'm always happy to be edited; I mean, they're trying to improve my story.

I'm getting tingles.

Hi Fuzzy!
It is probably a site cache issue, which often takes 24 hours to resolve.

When you have over 30 million people and serve over 210 million pageviews per year, you have to cache the site.
David Bowie's, "Heroes".

Your song has to start with an "S".

Will the posts discussing removal of ghost accounts return? And if not, can we at least get a reason for their deletion, so we know what to avoid in the future?

One word for you.

Enough.

You know why.
Maybe most people already know this, but I just discovered today () that you can set your compose email screen to open expanded rather than the small box which sits at the bottom right of your screen by default.

Click the 3 dots on the bottom right and check the "Default to full-screen" option:

There are some mostly unsung Moderator heroes who quietly but busily work behind the scenes.

One such Mod handles a huge number of Helpdesk reports, member enquiries and Forum / Groups issues. She's also very busy with her work and home life, so quite frankly, I don't know how she maintains her energy and enthusiasm (please bottle it and send me a few litres ...).

A massive thank you goes out to TrinityX for giving so much to our community, and being an all round wonderful person.

Check your inbox for the $100 award please Trin!
We are undergoing some major design changes and site upgrades at the moment, so please excuse any downtime.

I’m a nurse working nights and extremely busy. When I get home I’m attending online classes four mornings a week and then I sleep for 5-6 hours and start all over again. I’d love to spend more time with my friends here but I just don’t have that time. Like now I’m on a break and it’s over. Stay home and stay safe, please.

Thank you for your dedication and care.

Silly point of clarification, but maybe it isn’t.

It is
We have a large and diverse team of moderators who regularly chip in with our story queue.

To do this, they give up some of their precious time that they could be writing.

One of the finest writers processed around 50 odd stories in February, and still found the time to write a competition winning piece.

Congratulations to Tamara for taking out the Mod of the Month for February.

I'll be in touch regarding your shoe money!

We've not noticed a discernible increase in traffic as I'd expected.

As a few have touched upon, it might be more difficult for people at home to connect here, with other family members around a lot more (who may have gone out working / socialising ordinarily).
Is this coffee or tea you poured Rumps? It kind of tastes a little like coffee but with something else added (mud?).

I was considering a "medical fetish" competition as we added a new category at the start of the year for it. But then I thought that people wouldn't want to be constantly reminded of CV-19 here too seeing it's flooding mainstream TV / interweb sites.

I think people should not be so fixated on it. Sure, don't ignore it of course, but positive happy thoughts will do wonders for your mindset instead of becoming fixated on death rates and other grim statistics ...

We also decided this was a good theme because a lot of people will be alone right now, so it's kind of related in a way.

Excuse me for unleashing a little of my inner hippie:

Once someone asked the Spirit Doctor, Osho about the pandemic, read the answer...

The question was: How to avoid epidemic?

Osho: "You are asking the wrong question. The question should have been like this: "Say something about the fear of dying in my heart because of the epidemic?" How to save yourself from this fear?

Because it is very easy to avoid virus, but it is very difficult to avoid the fear that is present within you and in the world.

People will die more because of this fear than because of the epidemic.

There no virus in this world is more dangerous than fear. Understand this fear, otherwise you will become an alive dead body before your body will die.

It has nothing to do with the virus. The frightening atmosphere you are watching right now is a collective madness, which is always decreasing after some time. The reasons keep changing, but this kind of collective madness keeps on being revealed from time to time.

Many people either get help or they die. It has been a thousand times before, and it will continue to happen. And will continue unless you will understand the psychology of the crowd and fear.
Stop enjoying the juiciness of fear. Usually every human being enjoys fear a little bit. If they don't have fun in fear, then why would they go to watch movies?

Understand this juiciness within you; without understanding it you cannot understand the psychology of fear.

Look at the juice of this fear and at the fear within you, because if we take in the juiciness of fear, it is not much possible to wake up our unconsciousness.

Normally you are the owner of your fear, but in the moment of collective madness your ownership can be touched. Your unconsciousness can take it over completely. You won't even know when you have lost control over your fear and fear others.

Then fear can do anything to you, in such a situation you can also take the life of yourself or that of others.

It will happen so much in the coming time: many people will commit suicide and many people will kill others.

Stay alert. Do not look at any video or news that gives you fear within. Stop talking about the epidemic - repeating the same thing again and again is the birth of self-hypnosis. Fear is a kind of self-hypnosis. This idea will cause chemical changes in the body. By repeating the same idea again and again, this chemical change can sometimes be so poisonous that it can also take your life.

There are a lot of other things happening in the world, pay attention to them.

Meditation becomes a protective aura all around the seeker, which does not allow negative energy to enter within. Now the energy of the whole world has become irrational. In such a way you can fall any time in this black hole.

Sitting in the boat of meditation you can avoid this.

(...) As long as death doesn't come there is no meaning of fearing what is inevitable. Fear is a kind of foolishness and proof of the fact that life has been lived in the wrong way. Those who offer their today for tomorrow, are afraid of death.

Death is not a problem for those who live their life totally each moment.

Rethink life. Fear will not solve anything and there is no cure for death.

If you don't die from a pandemic, then you will have to die another day, and that day can be any day. That's why: keep ready. Don't take down your life."

i've already started doing research, if ya know what i mean. ;)

I knew I could count on you!
I have the pleasure of handing to you, our new "Masturbation" sex story competition.

Solo masturbation is the sexual stimulation of one's own genitals for sexual arousal, normally with the goal of reaching an orgasm. This stimulation may involve fingers, hands, sex toys or in times of dire need, household objects. Reading sex stories or having sexual fantasies often speeds up the process!

Mutual masturbation is masturbation with a sexual partner, and usually includes manual stimulation of a partner's genitals with fingers or instrumentally with the use of objects.

Masturbation is colloquially referred to as "self-abuse", "playing with yourself", "fingering", "touching yourself", "bringing yourself off", "jerking off", "frigging", "wanking" and "pleasuring yourself". Other humourous euphemisms include "polishing the pump", "auditioning the finger puppets", "paddling the pink canoe", "Jillin' off", "Lone Rangering" and "giving yourself a hand", amongst others.

Competition Theme

Masturbation commonly takes place when time is short, and normally at home. Adding an element of danger, such as the risk of getting caught heightens the pleasure, so masturbating secretly in a public place can give an extra thrill (in changing rooms / a quick diddle under the desk at work / in a nightclub toilet ...). Conversely, exhibitionists may get off putting on a solo performance in front of others - for example in their cars in a "known" parking location for such activities, or in an adult cinema.

With this in mind, we are challenging writers to pen fun stories with a limit of 2,500 words.

Prizes

Winner: $150
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

Gav says the CPU load is 40%, Memory up to 70%, which is well within our limits, but a little on the high side.

But he says it looks like someone is trying to run an automated script against the site, for whatever reason. There are hundreds of error emails coming through as a result which is impacting system performance overall.

He's looking at ways to further block these malicious attacks.
