I tend to be of the view that the Mods decide on RRs for a variety of reasons and if a story/poem doesn't meet a certain standard then an RR isn't given - which seems fair enough to me. Let's face it there are people who write on here that are particularly talented and the rest of us try really hard or just throw something on a piece of paper and hope for the best. The RRs that I have read I can totally see why they got it, it's blatantly obvious their stories/poems have more depth to them, maybe not obvious to some though.
I love to submit my stuff on here but I am totally aware that my stuff is pretty average, very personal and special to me, but not of fantastic literary quality. For me the fact that people from all over the world can read my stories/poems gives me a massive buzz, I don't aim for them to be RR worthy, it doesn't even cross my mind. I'm just grateful that I can put my pieces up and let others read them and comment on them. I would ask how many other places in our real lives let us do that?
