I try to make an intricate plot and develop character in all my stories, no matter how short, but maybe not to your satisfaction. However, I don't want to go on for so long that the reader gets antsy for some action. I mean, I assume that's why they're reading here. I think A Square Peg has a thought out plot. I think An Aegean Vacation tells a story. And I could go on, BUT, all of my stories are gay, and that might not be what you're looking for. If not, too bad.
First, I've only watched gay male porn, so my vision is a little skewed. Second, I only watch what is free, so I may not know if there is any good stuff or not. Most of it I fast forward through. I'd like some sort of story, and not just for the first two minutes. When they're through, they never say a word. I don't think I need help, but the comment by NOLAHotGal reminded me of a problem I often have with mods. They seem to want commas where I don't think commas belong, and often remove them where I specifically wanted one. They have actually changed the meaning of a sentence by doing that. It annoys me. But going back to make changes has never made me want to stop writing or publishing here. And one more big gripe. I truly understand the age restriction that LS insists on, but I also have been the victim of what I consider stringent restraints. In a story I submitted long ago, and never resubmitted, I had a fourteen-year-old standing at the urinal with an unexpected erection and having a difficult time getting a stream going. This was crucial to the story, but the mod said it was sexual, and I was penalized. Does anyone agree with me?
I'd be surprised if any female on this site has. By that I mean I doubt it would have ever been necessary. In literature there is often an older rich woman who buys young men's favors, but I don't think that actually happens often, and certainly not among the foxes here. I'm a liberal gay man, which I think may be repetitive. I've never understood the mind set of Log Cabin Republicans. And of course conservatives like sex as much as anybody. I really love that story, and would like to know why no one else does. Also, does anyone have a clue why some stories don't attract readers? The title? The category? The sumnation sentence?
