I don't see any foreign language movies on here but one of the best films I've ever seen is one from Peru called "Contracorriente" or"Undertow" in English. It's a gay subject movie like "Broakeback Mountain" and almost as good and I think anyone will like it no matter their sexual orientation. If you really like well-made films, check it out.
I'm one of those people who want and treasure every compliment I get. That said, I do write for myself, not to please an audience, but I still enjoy finding that others liked what I wrote. Some comments are more touching than others, but all are welcome. I've often said I welcome negative reviews, but the few I got I didn't agree with. They were not informative or helpful. One thing that bothers me is I never understand why some stories garner a lot of readers and others comparatively few. The title? The blurb? A couple of my stories I felt were among my best I posted in catagoties where they did far worse than most of the others. Either viewers never go there or don't look for my stories but only read what appears in the category they like.

The Lion King, the new one. I'd never seen the original nor the stage version. I really didn't know the story. My opinion? Ehhh. The story is simplistic, the songs annoying, but the way they make these computer generated films blows my mind.

In the theater the Green Book. It was very good. I especially enjoyed it because I still have a couple LPs of Don Shirley. On the web a movie called Tangerines. It's a powerful and different type of antiwar film and the acting is remarkable. The type that makes you forget you're watching actors playing parts.
Maybe because some of the sites you mentioned publish any crap sent to them, while here you have to use understandable English. I always thought your hometown was where you grew up, no matter where or for how long you lived elsewhere. After graduating from university I moved to Los Angeles and lived there most of my life. I then moved to a small town in Mexico for twenty years, but I came back here to Tampa, where I grew up because this is where my family is.
