ok, i've been lax, i admit it. i actually meant to do this in December and... life got away from me, but in a way, it's kind of nice to open out the new year by presenting https://www.lushstories.com/TonyaL with an awesome award for being, well... awesome.

full disclosure, i had asked ChrisM to send me a testimony and, of course, i misfiled it, but i figure it's gonna be easy to wing this one a bit. smile

Tonya joined us on Feb 6, 2015 and, since then has written 39 stories, some of which have achieved RRs. that's not why she's getting this, tho. This is for something beyond writing - it's for that intangible something that caught my attention early on. it's her warm, caring spirit that is so infectious. she's a regular at Rump's bar and it's impossible to visit the place without feeling her welcoming presence. seems she always opens up the place and sets the tone, regardless of what is going on in her life. living my example is the best way i can explain it. not matter how rough her day, her week, no matter what's going on, she's always got a moment to uplift everyone she comes in contact with.

the same with the project semi colon thread. she's been quietly inspriational as well as opening herself up for anyone needing an ear, a hug, someone to talk to. no matter what her own troubles, she's been there for so many lushies, never asking for anything in return. while i don't know her well, i know her well enough to know that the high regard for her that her friends hold is well earned. you'll probably be hearing from a lot of them in the near future, i'm guessing. smile

so yeah, Tonya? You're awesome. I mean, officially. you don't really need my stamp of approval for that, but you do deserve it.

*hugs*

lotsa love and thanks for making lush a little more magical. smile

You only breathe high.

i'd like to clarify my response. i don't write when i'm totally baked. i deal with a bit of ADD and OCD and, in order for my mind to not be a complete and chaotic mess when i'm writing, i need a little help and a hit or two settles me enough that i can concentrate on writing, rather than everything else going on around me, real and/or imagined.

also, i don't edit high, cause i don't edit (unless Verbs is making me edit, which i am both resentful of and grateful for). most of what i write these days is first draft other than a spelling, typo and grammar check before submitting.

Clearly you are the most interesting person alive.

Clearly. not sure who that guy is who does the beer ads, but his claims are obviously lies.

Horrible.

As soon as they went for the Apocalypse Now internal monologue voice over, this movie was doomed. Mix in the 2001 and Aliens-type feel, without aliens, just pounded a few more nails into this nebulous turd coffin.

This movie couldn’t decide what it wanted to be. Probably needed more fatherly involvement at an earlier stage. Yes. That’s an in joke. Views above earth were spectacular. Yes, Felix, Brad took off his shirt. But Tommy Lee is so badly typecast in Hollywood, his character is too predictable. Who DIDN’T see that ending coming?

Unless you see this in an IMAX theatre for the space scenes, and you’re stoned, save your time and money.

Best. Movie. EVER!

And I kind of doubt she will drop them on a weekend (though I guess it's possible). It was a wide and deep field so maybe we have a hung jury.

Tea, please. Got to pre-warm up before I go out to clear the driveway.

judges started drinking the second they were done. freaking too many monster stories. if i could, i'd have made it a top 20 silly
congratz to anyone who made top 10, especially Fuzzy, Katherine, and Liz. to be honest, there were easily 20 stories that really shone and narrowing them down to 10, let alone 3, was insanely difficult. anyone who made a spot in the top 10 should be extremely proud of themselves. you guys killed it.

Frozen 2. Don't judge me. Yes, I am a grown woman. No, small children weren't with me. Yes, I hummed songs aloud in my car on the way home.

no kids. seen it 5 times so far. got the soundtrack. know all the songs. sing along with them in the car and at home. *high fives you*

So happy you did this so so helpful so I don't have to open it to see if I read it! I’m assuming this is all Gav! ?

Didn't know this could be streamed! Just found it on Amazon Prime! Very psyched. Didn't really like Hereditary, but it had its moments, and I love the folk-horror genre.

What's Missing Link?

an animated flick about a yeti. it's got hugh jackman in it (as a voice) and it's not really very good.

I just spoke with Missing Link and it had the nicest things to say about you.

*kicks in your front door, steals your tv, burns the place down*

let that be a lesson to you, Mister!

Just Mercy with Jaime Fox, Michael B. Jordan, and Bria Larson. Excellent true story.

so want to see this. it looks amazing.
think we're gonna see that war movie this weekend. 1917.

for the record? why all the love for Missing Link? won the golden globes, got nominated for the oscars and frozen 2 didn't and, quite honestly? it's a pretty subpar animated feature. ALL of the other movies nominated for GGs were much better. stinks on ice.

I'll be the judge of that. You're a solid 10, baby.

*snorts* you're biased. not that i mind. ;)
if you're a writer, or an aspiring writer, would love to see you do some stories about this for our fetish section. always looking for new and diverse kinks here and personally, i'll try (almost) anything once. smile

Well she isn't in the music business in SF, CA and there is a big difference between what I do with my friends and what internet sites I might belong to. Being a member of Lush is relatively public domain, what I do in my bedroom is not. I am sure I will get trashed for saying it, but too many Lush moderators seem to think the world revolves around you and this site, and it does not. This site is meant to be a hobby, or a distraction for many people looking for something else in their life. Again, if you could step out of your Lush shells for a bit and try to see the world from outside of Lush you might understand all of these things a bit better.

What I really don't understand is that my original post on this thread was a thank you to the moderators that work on stories, at this site and for the great job that they do. I was a victim of Lush rules and I understand that and take full accountability of that. How this got into a discussion of trashing Reese and her life away from Lush, is beyond me, but oh so typical of the drama that continues to permeate this site.

*shrugs* doesn't really matter to me either way. Thing is, you've made a point of being pushy to the moderation team and about the site in the past so don't be surprised that your thank you sounds less than sincere to many of us. As for being a victim of lush rules? Dude. And don't even preach to me about drama. That's beyond laughable.
