what's cash?

i'm going to bow out of this convo. these are people you are all talking about. people who are, sadly, used to being bullied, and harassed, and hated on. i really can't stomach opening up this thread one more time and seeing trans folks being talked about like they somehow aren't deeply affected by discussions like this. that you have the right to talk about them as if they aren't... people. so yeah, keep it up and keep telling yourself that it's not bigotry. can't stop y'all from lying to yourselves. aidos.

So, I wrote my Christmas story. I spent time making it as good as I could. The moderator loved it and gave me my first ever recommended read.... Only then did I realise I had forgotten to click "Competition entry"😨
if that happens again, just notify a mod and we'll be happy to fix it for you.

If there’s any sport where there should be separate categories for men, transgender, and women, boxing is one. Female boxer withdraws from tournament after learning opponent is transgender
i kickbox. not a lot of other women in my gym, so it's mostly against guys and i can hold my own.

I don't think our country was founded by immigrants entering the country illegally. Why do you say it was?
doesn't really matter what you think. the colonists came over from Europe and systematically invaded north america, eventually pushing the indigenous people out.

I really wanted to thank whoever came up with this great idea. I love the idea of a micro competition. I hope there will be more like this.
For me as a non native speaker it takes a lot more time and effort to come up with a longer piece and I let some of the competitions pass because of that. So I am really glad I could participate in this one as my first try in a competition.
So again, thank you! Keep it up!
Blame Jen - with a lot of input from our wonderful story mod team.
and glad you were able to participate.best of luck.

Seriously? So I couldn't do a perfectly good standalone story for a comp and then realize after the fact that I want to continue or add to the story? How would you even police that, given that the followup might come weeks or months after the comp ended?
I am assuming that what you mean is that you can't be leaving obvious hooks for adding chapters later or state openly that it is part 1. If you come back to it later with new eyes and add sequels after the fact, that's a different matter. I hope.
Asking because even outside comps, I often write a story that I think is a standalone and then realize after publication that there's more to tell.
as has always been the rule, once the comp is over you are are free to turn your entry into a multi chapter series if you wish.
