Sugarbaby, love that your daughter calls it the corny virus! We have a 3 week supply of non-perishable food and water as well due to Hurricane season in Florida. That is a few months off, but hubby said we are prepared if we need it sooner than later. Sorry to hear that Jonathan is still in pain...send him my warm thoughts!
HI SCOTT! I go to the ear nose throat doc tomorrow. Hoping for good prognosis on the ear. But I have decided it might be time for me to accept the fact that my hearing might always be compromised.
I read EVERY single comp story as of yesterday. LOTS of really good ones.

My "baby" had a birthday yesterday, although she is approaching the quarter of a century mark. LOL. Still it was nice that she wanted me to call and her sing her happy birthday song as is our tradition. Warmed my heart!
I had a bit of progress with the ear on Friday, and then nothing since. I see a specialist on Thursday. Fingers crossed as it is becoming more and more frustrating not being able to hear well. (WHAT??)
Be careful what you do there in Vegas, Scott. They may say it stays in Vegas, but sometimes that shit can follow you home! LOL.

It's a chilly 52 degrees on my beach this morning. But it looks like Sunday takes us back up to the high 60s and 70s. Perfect weather for a staycation before hubby starts his new job. It will be a good distraction while I wait for my appointment with the specialist for my ear.
I have ready nearly all of the comp stories...so many good ones, especially from our Rump fam!

Tea for me please. I have to see an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist for the ear. I am glad in a way because all my doc seems to do is throw more antibiotics at this. I've been sick with sinus/respiratory stuff since the first of the year. So frustrating.

I came back to Lush after a 6 year break.
I rediscovered my passion for writing.
I submitted 36 poems and stories.
I made some new friends.
I created a fictional couple that people started talking about as if they were real people (LOVE THIS!).
I encouraged my hubby in his quest to find a job that won't take him away from me so damn often.
Not a bad year all in all...

I moved my appointment up to tomorrow as I have fluid in the other ear and I am concerned about losing my hearing in that ear as well.
I'm also trying to play catch up with reading. I'm trying to read the rest of the comp stories first so I can vote and comment before the deadline. There are so many good ones that I am pretty sure my little beach romp doesn't stand a chance. But it was fun to write.

I am working on catching up on reading today. I have a follow up appointment for my eardrum on Thursday. I have gotten past wanting to hear and just want the ringing to stop! LOL.
Ping, somehow my dryer showed up on Friday. It's so quiet and it works!! I am a happy camper.

Strolling in a bit late today. Trying to read a few stories before I head down to the beach to enjoy some sunshine since it finally hit 70 degrees today. The left ear is still not getting any sound through, but that could take a few weeks, I've been told. Adding insult to injury is the fact that flying caused my right ear to fill up with fluid. I am hoping to get a referral to an ear, nose, throat doc. In the meantime, my poor husband just has to keep shouting at me.

Seems like a good time for a glass of wine. I keep falling further behind with my reading as the eardrum rupture has me feeling dizzy. But I promise I will spend some time catching up just as soon as I can. I am frustrated that I can't hear out of the left ear. But hopefully this is only temporary.

TGIF! Glad to be home on my own comfy couch. I had a great visit with my daughter and the new baby (she's a doll!) and enjoyed seeing my son and his family, but it's really good to be home. Thanks for the well wishes regarding my ear. The pain is manageable at this point and now I just continue the drops and hope it heals quickly. The only sound I am hearing is my own heartbeat and ringing.
Looks like I have at least a dozen stories to read over the next few days. It will give me something to do while I recover.

I’ve had enough of the cold! And I am traveling home with an eardrum that burst Tuesday night. The doc okay’d me to fly with pain meds. I did the unthinkable and drank a big glass of wine. Am hoping that if the ear hurts on the flight I won’t give a crap. Happy Thursday to all. Be well, stay warm, drink hearty!

Saw the light on, thanks Carl! Dragging myself in for a cup of tea and one of those powdered sugar donuts. Baby is doing great. My daughter and her fiance are tired, but doing well. My left ear filled up again yesterday, so I got another z-pak. But last night my eardrum perforated and I'm just waiting till the doc's office opens to find out if I can even fly home tomorrow. It's freaky scary when you start to bleed out of your ear...literally...but it made that excruciating pain stop so, devil - deep blue sea.

Good morning all y'all! Surviving in the cold north here!! LOL, it certainly isn't the beach weather I have become accustomed to, but it's not as bad as it could be. My daughter had her baby on Valentine's Day and she is just perfect! Everyone is doing well. Hearing my daughter laugh and have joy after many rough months is music to my ears!!

Looks like a Valentine's Day baby...my daughter's water broke and she's at the hospital. 24 hours from now I will be up north holding my granddaughter!!
