I use techgoddess as my profile name because the man who asked me to join Lush back 11 years ago used to call me that on a different site where we met. He and I were involved and it was to help protect his privacy as well. I mention my name in my profile, but Kat is actually my middle name (or a shortened version, thereof). I always had to be careful due to my job and my kids and my husband (we always used to joke that it might be awkward if someone who worked for him came on and discovered the boss's wife was here). I've always preferred my middle name anyway. Lol. I share a lot more of my personal self here then I used to because I am no longer working, but since my husband is, it seems prudent to keep my first name out of the mix.

Good morning to everyone. Just tea this morning please. Didn't sleep well. My guy was in transit from UK to India and had a plane change from Delhi to Pune. I don't sleep well when he travels as it is, but when it's international it's worse. Just a few more days. thankfully!!

So, to be honest, I am not very good at promoting my stories as I've never been really sure that they were all that good. My friends would read and comment and I was happy with that.
Then I wrote a story 2 months ago that I let roll around on my flash drive. I'd look at it every few days and edit this or change that.
I wasn't sure if it was something people would actually want to read, but recently I got brave and figured, what the heck. Worst case scenario? I've made enough friends again since coming back to Lush (after an extremely long absence) that if those were the only people who read the story and commented, well that would be plenty.
Except, for some magical reason, it wasn't just my friends who read and commented. And suddenly it was becoming one of my most popular stories.
So now I have posted parts 1, 2, and 3 (part 4 is finished, I just need to polish it up before I submit it). I actually feel like I have a series worth promoting and figured, why not?
So, if you are so inclined, I would be very appreciative if readers would check out my series, The Office Whore.

Most of my chores are done. Needed a break for a glass of wine please as I have my chores AND my husband’s to do. He is en route from the UK to India. I realize at times like this how spoiled I am, even though he travels most of the time. If I could just teach the cat how to mop floors!! Lol!

Good afternoon, all y'all! I need a beer. The window company sent two more guys out today to fix the inside trim and the wall that was damaged when my new windows were installed. This was all supposed to have been taken care of on Thursday, but sadly, not so much! So today they took up 4.5 hours of my Saturday to finally fix things the way they should be (including replacing a cracked window sill and a hole in my wall). Sighs...it's done and I guess that's all that matters. I was gonna have a light beer but I think my sanity needs a Guinness.
