Is it even possible
To be so constrained?

As if by soft rope,
Criss-crossing my syllables,
Binding thoughts tightly.

Unable to voice,
To freely shift emotion,
Or move my limbs to

Escape sensation,
Forced upon me by the flow
Of words and movement.

Bound by rules and rope.
Choosing submission because
It frees me to be.

Thoughts of you, always,
Penetrating my psyche,
Pushing my limits.

Within these confines,
The safety of knots on skin,
Constrained ideas,

I can now express
Exquisite desperation.
Fighting to reach bliss.

Bringing me to peak,
To climax, gasp, and writhe in
Shibari haiku.
