Inside the silent, midnight space,
Your breathing pulls me like the sea.
Shade grows to swallow every trace
Where burning skin sets spirits free.
I feel the curve of shoulder bone,
A path I read with blinded sight.
Obscured by dark, our souls are shown,
Enmeshed within the plush of night.
Your fingers trace a hidden verse,
A throb that strikes against my core.
The bounds of time and space disperse,
Your drifting shape aligns once more.
A sudden breath, a flash of fire,
We drift upon a surging wave,
Then sink as quiet winds expire,
Where frantic heartbeats misbehave.
The waters turn, the pull recedes,
Reclaiming what the nighttime gave.
Our pulse conforms to ocean needs,
Submerging down beneath the wave.
