I write an email that will never be delivered.

I continue the story that I know will never get an ending.

I think of you each day though it breaks me a little more each time.

I pray for the day you return, while knowing you never will.

I wonder if I ever cross your mind, then doubt I ever do.

I know I should forget you but it’s impossible for me to do so.

I said I couldn’t forgive you but I knew I lied when I did.
