I took a walk along life’s rocky shore. 
Searching for smiles,
Some joy,
And friendships.
Really nothing more. 

Strolling along the pristine sand
A sparkle caught my eye. 
This stone of love 
That washed ashore.
Now lay shining in my hand. 

A quiet voice spoke in my mind.
"You know what's missing. 
You know it's time. 
This is your chance. 
What more is left to find?"

Time to leave this peaceful Shore. 
I think it’s wise.
I know it’s best.
For happiness sake
I need return nevermore.
