She sat alone on the bank

watching the city lights

Flickering across the river

she knows her soul mate is somewhere out there

She looked  towards the sky

and wished upon a star

Knowing it will take time

For her wish to come true.

Her heart had been broken many times

But this time she had decided

It would be her year to sparkle

And find a love that’s true

Wrapping herself in his arms

kissing him softly smiling
