Barely touching as they sit together 
Both lost in thought 
Each remembering precious moments 
As the sun dips down and darkness falls.

They turn to face one another and their eyes lock 
His bright blue eyes shining 
Full of want, longing And a hint of mischief
As he lifts her on his lap.

Raising his hand to her face 
brushing a piece of hair away
then gently caressing her cheek 
And runs a finger over her lips.

She smiles, knowing this touch
