As people sometimes say.
Now my own loving relationship
Has slowly drifted away.

No tears no recriminations
To stop it was time
Our good times together
Had reached the end of the line.

Our friendship was purely online,
Words floating across the vast sea
So there would be no happy meeting
Between my friend and me.

Our time together was special
And I'll never forget her
But she's beautiful and young
