The Siren’s Song
The dream spills me into the water
Dashed and swirling in the waves
Breathless
I slip below the surface
Where I succumb to the quiet
But the Siren’s song calls to me
Warms and fills me
So I am piercing the surface
My strong body heavy with fatigue
I flail against the water to the shore
For the kiss of life
And fierce love
