He took a seat and smiled
She lowered her head and blushed

Just a simple nod
Is all she could manage
Looking down at her watch
I need to head back to work

He rose as she left and then took his chair
Reaching for her left hand
I know you are married

I just can't get you out of my thoughts
She just kept her head lowered
He lifted her chin
Her soft brown eyes filled with tears

Did I misspeak and upset you
She just shook her head from side to side
Then tell me why you are crying
Her chin began to quiver

She tried to focus through the tears
Nervously turning her cup as her hand trembled
He gently squeezed her left hand
She felt a calming overtake her

Her chin stopped quivering
Her tears were drying
She was able to focus on his Hazel eyes
She thought to herself why me

Neither spoke a word
As their hearts spoke to their souls
Locked into a gaze

Her fluttering lashes framing her soft brown eyes
Raising her left hand to his mouth
Softly kissing her fingers
This caused her to lower her head and blush

I must get back to work
He rose as she stood to leave
Hearing the familiar sound of the bell
As she left

Just as he was about to leave
He noticed
Her business card was on the table
Her cell phone number was circled

Should I send her a text
All of sudden he felt like a teen
He nervously typed a message
He pushed send

What seemed like hours
He recieved a response
Smiley face and hearts
In all caps he read YES

Now to get ready
A million thoughts were racing inside his head
The bell rang as he left
