I entered this day with joy,
For we had spoken late last night
 when I could not sleep.
Just knowing you are there 
Brings comfort and peace.

The impact on my mind, 
The flutter in my chest,

Hope is born within
My life beginning again

Fan in my mind,

Creating rainbows of possibilities 
My once grey life
Becoming one of colour.
Your warmth
Reaching out to cleanse 
And make me whole 

Your touch 
So gentle, yet full of power
Stroking once dull places
Awakens life force
Stirring drives 
Somehow forgotten 
Your very being 
Caresses, enlivens 
And fulfills my all
