Love?

Maybe I'm still young,

Maybe I'm still dumb.

I don't know if I really do know what love is.

My definition may be wrong,

But it is what love is to me.

My definition you ask?

To put a smile on your face,

To make you happy,

To be able to just see your face and tell you that you are beautiful,

To be able to just laugh with you,

To hold you,

To be with you,

To be the one to stop your tears,

To be the one who hold you as you fall asleep in their arms.

To care so much you can't stand to see them sad

To be the one to just brighten your day.

To talk hours and hours and just listen to you talk,

About your problems,

About your dreams,

About your life,

About anything you want to tell me,

To be able to feel so strongly about you,

When you hurt,

I hurt.

To be the one to save you when you need saving,

And the one to save me when I need saving

Just to be there for one another.

They say its give and take,

One of too much is bad,

You can keep giving and the other can keep taking,

But eventually one can get tired and just end it.

It really is a compromise.

So my definition is my definition wrong?Is it too long?

I ask because all this has come from my experience,

My own life,

So how can it be wrong?

My definition may be different than yours,

But please understand it doesn't mean it is wrong.

This is just how love is to me.

From my experiences.

From my joyous times,

To my saddened times.

From crushing,

To heartbreak.

So now you ask my experience?

It may not be a long history,

But it is my history,

My past,

From being attracted to a girl,

To dating,

To heartbreak.

So is love simple?

Or is it complex?

To each it varies,

But I think in the end all we want is,

To be able to call you mine and only mine
