I knew it was bound to happen one day - to run into someone from the scene. But not in my most bizarre nightmare would he feature under these circumstances:

My mildly dysfunctional but still kinda cute fam shopping for a roadtrip. Husband trying to keep the youngest from pressing the scales, me wrestling with the machine over an unrecognised fruit-pot, daughters arguing over some sweets.

There he walks by, mouthing a casual 'hi'. The one, who just a few days ago treated me like the absolute filthball I am, the imprint of his belt still burning on my ass.
