About sweetsinner

Hi, I'm Sinner, a studying mama of two and on the downhill slope to 30. I love conversation on just about any topic and can be a mad rambler, however, I can tend to be shy and awkward and sometimes need coaxing into conversation. I curse a lot. I value playfulness and a great sense of humour, appreciate sarcasm and witty banter. I am a fair bit of a nerd, sometimes gamer, often procrastibaker, and always mild league insomniac. I believe kindness, empathy and gratitude are some of the most attractive qualities people can possess. I am a complete romantic and a dreamer with barely a shred of pragmatism in my bones. I'm constantly learning.

I dabble in poetry but I write mostly for self expression. In writing rigidly structured academic essays I have lost my creative flair, but I am slowly getting my groove back - I have a lot of ideas but most is without cohesion and taking a long time to come together. I truly value the opportunity to learn and grow by immersing myself in the talents of others and am very interested in collaboration to explore ideas and styles. It is truly fascinating to work with other writers and find a way to adapt together. If we are friends I will always try to read your work, and I often trawl the back catalogues of authors I really enjoy, however I tend to not read while I am in the middle of my own writing as the imprints of others' words and styles leave an impact and before long I'm citing phrases I've read by others.

I'm pretty easy going and welcome friendship with anyone - men or women, I believe we all have a lot to share and learn from one another in our lives and I welcome getting to know you. However, I seek no romantic dalliances or attention of this type.

Kindness costs nothing, but its value is priceless

I love learning about everything even though many concepts continue to elude my comprehension. Music is a constant in my life, a therapy and something I much treasure. I can't actually do either but love to sing and dance. Reading, writing, poetry, crosswords, puzzles.
Favorite Books:
Still love a lot of my youth and young adult favourites. HP Series, The Hunger Games, Elli: Coming of Age in The Holocaust, To Kill a Mockingbird, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Looking for Alibrandi, Room, Killing Aurora, The Tomorrow Series
Favorite Authors:
Dan Brown, Melina Marchetta, John Marsden, JK Rowling, and the more poetic - Michael Faudet, Lang Leav, Pablo Neruda, Christopher Poindexter
Favorite Movies:
Dirty Dancing, Ex Machina, Inception, Interstellar, Juno, Lord of the Rings, Me Before You, Moulin Rouge, The Notebook, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shawshank Redemption, Silver Linings Playbook, Star Trek (Abrams'), Star Wars, Strictly Ballroom, The Avengers + most of the Marvel & DC Universes. Still a sucker for Disney too
Favourite TV Shows:
Battlestar Galactica, Daredevil, Dexter, Doctor Who, Firefly, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, HIMYM, House of Cards, Jessica Jones, Offspring, OITNB, Orphan Black, Scrubs, Stranger Things, The Stargate Franchise.
Favorite Music:
Fairly eclectic, but rock-leaning with a soft spot for pop-punk and a lot of Aussie bands. I love discovering new artists that appeal to my taste and feed my music loving soul. I often add songs that I love to my video gallery, but the variety is really a picture of lunacy, I love finding unique covers that bring something new to a well known song and love it when others share music with me.

These richly complicated tapestries and their intricately woven threads have been effortlessly loosened, as if each strand was composed in error or missing some vital precious element that we neglected in the weaving. It is in this gentle undoing that I am only beginning to understand the vast irrelevance of time, and how the continuum of our story has no tangible end...

I wonder if you too recognised how effortlessly we breached the surface, burrowing into more intimate clutches as though we had always belonged. How we danced beneath a curious calm during the swift but gentle tensioning, finding comfort in the magnetism  that enraptured us – a balance of delicate forces to which we beckoned no resistance. As we strayed across the threshold we...

We are the slow burn. The sudden collision of our energies kindled the fledgling sparks, a convergence that made us hunger for a friction that would lead us to a luminous ignition. Alight with lustrous flare and nurtured with ferocious need, these flickers will cling, entire. Interminable heat building to a blaze that will consume. So when you ask me to never let...
