Spin the bottle, strip poker, truth or dare, wagers, competitions... It seems like a common enough element in a lot of stories that it deserves it's own category.

A collaboration category for those who have partnered with another author to write a story is a good idea. Either that... or allow both authors feature the story on their page so that both their respective fan bases can enjoy the story.

Seriously!!!.....we already have about 40 catagories. How can that not be enough??

Then again I would like to write horror stories....maybe one gothic with vampires, one without vampires, but biting, a slasher story or two (knives and chainsaws....maybe a weed eater), and perhaps something featuring farm animals, dwarfs and giants....and CLOWNS (I've already picked a cover)! And I WOULD write them,too, if ONLY there was a category for each of them!!!

Great, but I hope those stories won't be related to any of the current categories, bacause otherwise I wouldn't know where to search for it since they're still all mutually exclusive right now.

Ditch categories altogether, turn them into tags and make those leading. It makes a lot more sense. There are only so much people who couldn't care less about whether stories in the Anal/Oral sex/Group sex categories describe lesbian, gay or straight anal/oral/group sex.

I would like to see a category for: One Night Stands ... Erotic Couplings ... Romance. When I write stories like these, I am not sure what Lush offered categories they actually fit into.

etymology of "hysterical" is from Greek word for uterus (hysteria had to do with women acting oddly, irrationally, inspired by an out of balance uterus).

Not sure where I'm going with this, but hysterical fiction could be an... interesting category.

lol, I am not sure if you're serious, but I take it as such and second it.

It would be refreshing to read about characters who aren't as perfect as they appear in most stories. Sometimes I think I read erotic Cosmopolitan. Different is good. Different is actually perfect. No need for all characters to have polished mental and emotional characteristic and such a perfectly molded bodies.

Thank you for seconding Hysterical Erotica, and yes I agree to the view that characters should be different; I'll only add that they should depict the society we live in.... but sometimes readers do want to read about "perfectly molded bodies"

this is not as easy as i thought. it's quite difficult in short story to paint their flaw-full characters and feelings that writer needs to bring out readers in one sex story. my apologize for judging without trying to do that first.

I think the "pay for play" category mentioned earlier is a good one. Not necessarily just outright prostitution / escorting, though that of course would fit in the category, but what might be considered, to use a phrase I first heard from VirgoGo, "transactional sex." A quid pro quo kind of thing.

Something I tried to explore in a few of my last two stories:

O course, many stories fit in more than one category ; say interracial first time college sex. What frosts me is all of the other categories have to fit into gay male. Yes, I know, I can put a gay male story in a different category - I've done it, but it all too often is completely out of place and ignored. Any comments?
