I do have a story that I rather enjoyed writing that didn't last long on the front page and wasn't viewed as much as I would have liked. It was a bit long, so I broke it into two parts ... Part 2 wasn't linked to Part 1 (of course), and most of the readers of Part 1 never saw Part 2. Is that confusing?

Hi All

I started this thread back in early 2016 and would like to revive it. So many great stories and poems have been written since, and with the volume we see
here, many wonderful works, for a variety of reasons, get missed. I read all the stories and poems that were suggested.

Two stood out for me, that I still remember to this day. The first was Clum's. It wasn't a story I would normally read, but damn, he did such a great job with it. It deserves
many more reads. It is so damn good.

The second was actually a song that I dearly miss. Sadly, it is no longer here, nor is the author, but Steph wrote this amazing piece called Beachcombing. Those that remember him,
remember his talent and wit, and for some, his volatility, and propensity to piss some off. But that was him. I wish I could hear that damn song again. OMG! Remember that last
flash he wrote about the young soldier and the older woman, and the gunshot at the end. Just Wow.

So... I ask again...

This really is a great way to read stories you wouldn't normally read. Especially if they are older pieces. For me I will give you one of each. Well I only have one story APPARITIONS which I was super proud of, encouragement needed to finish the next ones!!

As for poems eeeek that's a tough one between BRAIDED EMBRACES (erotic).... and FRACTURED (love) ...


Braided Embraces again has done pretty well but I always appreciate more love, fractured was lower scoring but I poured my heart into it and I think it's actually one of my better pieces in terms of working with metaphor and imagery.

Heya! I have one that I was pretty proud of. I wrote this before I had any real experience with poetry and just rambled my thoughts down in the middle of the night. I then stumbled upon it much later after having worked on some poetry and was pretty excited about working it into a poem. It was perfect timing as the person it was written for had a birthday coming up. Along with Elliotlacey for guidance, I was quite happy with it. I hope you enjoy this truly heartfelt piece.

All of my poems.... because I've written those being not a poet smile
Well, I think I have written twenty poems here in simplest possible words and put my heart in :) Some of them relates to my personal life experiences and relations :)

Gay Male stories don't usually receive as many readers as other categories, and I accept that. And none of my stories get very many votes, compared to other authors' stories. I actually have three that I particularly like and had great hopes for, that didn't get much notice. I know you asked for one, but I'd like to list two of these three. One is Thank You for Your Service, which I saved for an important date to publish, and it went nowhere. But one of my very personal favorites that very few read is An Aegean Vacation. I really love that story, and would like to know why no one else does. Also, does anyone have a clue why some stories don't attract readers? The title? The category? The sumnation sentence?
