I have a beard and have gone down on women without complaint. Admittedly, I keep it fairly short and trim the mustache regularly (else peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, etc. get caught in the "strainer"). A shaggier one, perhaps, could be more of a concern.

The longest my beard ever got was when my hair was long, well past my shoulders. My beard still wasn't long. I only grow it during the winter, and then keep it very short.

Truthfully, I always get lots of compliments from women when I wear it. And when I had long hair and the beard, women were always touching my hair and saying how much they loved it. It actually was quite curly. But it drove me crazy. I'd rather my hair be very short.

My wife says she loves my winter beard and really thinks it looks hotter now that I've gotten even more tattoos.
