I was having a conversation with my Lady Friend last night. Her daughter is thirty years old, divorced with two children and has, over the last couple of years, become involved in affairs with married men. The reason she gave for this was that a married guy isn't likely to become clingy and demand more of her than she is willing to give. Her belief is that it's on him for cheating and if his wife can't keep him, well that's on her then.
I'm not defending her here or supporting her, but it seems a corollary to why some men pay for sex. Sometimes it's just easier than to try to maintain a relationship.
The reason I bring this up is the why' people do the things they do. Sometimes people want intimacy without complication and they are often willing to do odd things to get it. I understand that completely, I just don't think at this point in my life I want to be the one giving it.
