Posting Images in Chatrooms

Hi all! 

Many members are asking how to post images in the chatrooms (including Member Made Rooms) so here's a little help with that: 

To post from the internet:

• Find the image you like (legal and within the site rules and chatroom rules)

• Open the image in a new tab 

• Copy the URL 

• Paste it into the chatroom. 

Ensure the link ends in " .jpg " " .jpeg " " .png " " .gif " 

If the above is capitalised, i.e. .PNG, the link will appear rather than the image. 

If the link ends in " .gifv " - delete the "v" and the image should post. 

"Webp" links will only appear as links. 

To post from your gallery: 

• Upload your chosen image to your gallery.

• In the chatroom, on the bottom left of your text bar, you'll see an image icon. 

• Click the icon and this will open your gallery.

• Choose the image you want to share, then click "Add"

• Images in the Misc album do not post in chat rooms.

*Please note that Lush Stories members cannot post images in the global chatrooms.

How do you post pics addressed to someone in the room without sending them privately?

Hello everyone.

Asking for help. I am unable to post photos in the chat rooms except the ones from my Lush albums.

I always get that message: Link removed.

And it is not just photo links but any kind of links.

In other rooms I saw other people were getting that same message.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think I can upload gifs at all.

The GIF's already saved in my albums do not appear as an option to select to post.

Hi there, apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I just wanted to double check this first. 

This is a bug that is being looked in to.

There is an image processing issue on some gifs at the moment, this is also on the bug list. apologies for the delay in responding.

anyone still have problems with this? I follow the instructions and just the address shows up in the rooms, no picture, I'm on a mac btw. Tried copy image address, copy link address, opened the image in a new tab and copied the address. nothing works

Which chat room was this in please? Edit - investigating and now liaising via PM. Edit 21/12/23 - Resolved.

I can't see any entries from you on either 9th or 10th December where it seems you have attempted to post a pic. Was this via private message or before 9th December?

- Please note; some sites, such as BDSMLR, wetgif and xxgasm do not allow hotlinking from their websites

- Also, there are a few media file formats which do not translate properly. webp and gifv being two noticable formats.

Unfortunately, we can't do anything about external sites allowing hotlinking, but we have put the format issue on the list for the room updates.
