Calling yourself transgender!!

I notice people call themselves trans when they clearly are not! Transgender people are people that need to live full time the life of the opposite gender rather then the gender assigned or given to them at birth! They have come to the conclusion that they are living a lie or knew something is wrong with them pretty much all their life! They are now changing that! When a person starts doing that, then they are transgender!

Trans people have risked everything by transitioning! Their lives, homes, jobs, friends and families are just a few. They, myself included Have spent tons of money and time at doctors and therapists doing this. All because most insurance won't cover this.

Crossdressing up as the opposite gender and even going out for kicks. Then going back to normal cis mode is not transgender! So if you are reading this and you are calling yourself trans when your not. Please stop and just respect real trans people!

If you want to reply, please read my full profile before doing so! I'm the real deal!

Being actually real-deal trans is a different level of commitment

I am not sure commitment is the difference. There is a real qualitative difference in what they are seeking and I think that's what the OP is getting at.

Cross dressers don't feel they are the wrong gender or in the wrong body, just like or get off on dressing like the opposite sex. They seek to change their appearance but not their actual body.

Transpersons literally are trying to change their body to match the real person within, not just to look like the opposite sex but become who they really are.

A strange little something for Halloween.

I have no dog in this hunt but that was an excellent description of the differences.

The forum site I admin used to have a transwoman activist as a member. She got too busy with other activities and left but I learned a lot while she was around. We even had a thread just for her to field questions about being trans and trans issues.
