Adding Images after being Published?

Hello
I'd like to add images to my stories, but this wasn't offered at the time. Will the post be brand new after the image and story are resubmitted, or will it retain all the comments and likes?
Thank you

You can add the image to the existing story so you retain likes and comments. It will be sent for re-verification. Put a note in the Note to Moderator stating that you resubmitted to add a cover image so they know that is the change.

A strange little something for Halloween.

I didn't see a place to add a note
I will wait and see how long and what happens to the one I just resubmitted before doing it to my others...I would venture to guess they reject it, knowing my luck, not knowing it had been approved and on here for years.

Hi!

When you are in the Edit page, the Note to the Moderator box is at the bottom.

If you are referring to A Princess Comes of Age, you haven't resubmitted it, it's still in your Drafts. And that cover pic is not acceptable.

If you need further help, send me a PM, it'll be easier that way.

Yep, once I figured out to add cover images to my stories, I went back and edited the two or three dozen I’d already published, making NO changes except adding the cover images and putting the Note To Moderator explaining that’s all that I’d changed, just as Seeker4 says.

In each case, they got reapproved quickly. That would probably not have happened if I hadn’t put in a Note to Moderator.

And also like Seeker4 said, there are stricter rules for cover images than for pics posted elsewhere on the site.

Actually, it was AvidlyCurious who pointed out that the image was not acceptable under the rules.

The rules for cover images are mentioned in a couple of forum posts, but I don't believe they appear in any of the (sometimes redundant and slightly different) support or policies pages.

"Do not use a cover photo that contains visible genitalia, penetration, ejaculation, or graphic or violent scenes."

Now, I'm pretty good with GUM (grammar/usage/mechanics), but I didn't realize that ejaculation indicates a verb; no images of cum firing out of a penis are allowed. But ejaculate, a noun, is acceptable; cum can be splattered all over the place, as long as it isn't actively being fired.
