Simplyjohn advised in the chat threads:

Non-paying members can no longer initiate or participate in private messaging (PM) sessions. I have asked the development team to consider allowing this if a paid member initiates the PM. I will advise in due course.
Secondly for some considerable time members with a large volume of photos in their media centre have been unable to post from that in the rooms because the media selection button was timing out trying to load all the thumbnails. As an interim measure, only the latest 100 photos will be loaded by the media selection button."
My apologies I could not reply to the actual thread.
Can I suggest that for those with a large number of photos in their media that they get to choose a sub folder of photos before it tries to load thumbnail images. That way you can more readily select the type of photo you want to display in a room.
