Friend's Profile Suddenly Unaccessable

I logged on this morning and went on to my friends list and clicked on a friend of mine's profile icon, and was presented with this...

404 - Page not found
Something hasn’t worked as we’d hoped

I've tried searching the profile and get the response "No members matching your search."

Does that mean they've closed their account? Or something entirely different?

Just weird that the account is still in my friends list and the profile comments they made on my profile are there

If their avatar is still on your friends list that means they have only deactivated their account. Basically switching it off for a while. When they come back they re-activate it and everything will still be there the same as it was before. It is an alternative to deleting your account for whatever reason

If you do not see a person's avatar on your friends list it means either they deleted you or they have deleted the account
