I was able to create a new story cover with no issues.

Have a few other verifications of this. Yay.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I am relatively new here as an author and have come across a curious issue involving story covers.

After submitting my first story I discovered covers could be added in order to generate more readership.

So I found a stock image of a clothed anonymous female in latex, cropped to show only shoulders to hip in profile, grasping a strap-on. This matched perfectly with the story submitted.

I was told it was unacceptable due to bans on genitalia and similar look-alikes. Yet I see in story covers that others have produced, I see full-on nudity with exposed genitalia.

So, what is the story? I raised questions with one of the editors/monitors, yet I feel the answers were inconsistent regarding proper explanation.

Clarification would be asked here on this.

Please link to the stories with exposed genitalia

I did not see the image in question from The_Contemplative_Satyr, but if the moderator felt it was too phallic or gratuitous for general display, then please accept this decision and either source an alternative, censor/crop it, or leave it without one.

Further, if you find examples of other stories that may break our terms, please flag them using the Report feature and they will be considered on a case by case basis. We do miss things occasionally. That's not an invitation to embark upon a witch hunt, btw, just if you spot any during browsing the site. We are very pressed for resources as it is. Thank you.

Over one million views on my stories can't be wrong, so please dive in and browse my 148 stories:

* 31 Editor's Picks, 84 Recommended Reads.
* 16 competition podium places, 12 other times in the top ten.
* 23 collaborations.
* A whole heap of often filthy, tense, hot sex.

A technique I've considered is using a shape as a background for the title. As far as I can tell, it includes emphasized depictions of the penis and the vagina that are banned and nude female and male pictures that don't show that pass.

If that's not right, let me know.

If you really want to use the cover designer, make the cover then take a screen grab before saving it and upload the screengrab...

I'm doing this, because I have never had success using the template feature. (It saves my changes to the template, but not as a new cover?) Most of my covers are just an image with no text, easy peasy, but when I want to publish a series with a running title, I have to use some kind of workaround like this: edit the template (change the chapter number and the background image), take a screenshot of the revision, crop it in MS Paint (high tech, I know), then upload that image.

True Micros! 100 words, 100% true!
