Hi all,

What is the criteria one has to meet to appear on this list? I logged on via my laptop this evening and saw my name appear on it. I am surely not ungrateful, but at the same time I'm curious given I've only released 2 stories within the last 31 days.

there's an algorhythm of sorts - views and votes or something like that. i'm told it's complicated. frankly, i think it's a monkey in a room somewhere throwing darts at names...

Actually ... the story I almost wrote for the time travel comp was sort of going this way. Decided to save it for a non-Lush story, though. The s-f was more interesting to me than the sex I had in mind.

I did write a story for the competition using that as a basis for my story. It was last-minute, hurried, and not very good in reality. Hard to really focus when trying to focus and write a story (especially a competition story!) while taking care of a 3-month old. I'm not complaining though. The winner was excellent and as Nicola said, the runners-up weren't far behind Susie. The honorable-mentions were fantastic as well.

I can imagine. I'm long past those days (my son is 21 and a budding computer engineer) but the memories are still there. I didn't really do any writing from just before his birth until around the time I joined Lush (8 years ago next month).

Oh, only if that were true! While I was pregnant blamed being tired and exhausted all the time on the pregnancy. Now, not pregnant, get a hell of lot more exercise than I did while pregnant and still always tired and exhausted. Yeah, I get eight hours of sleep a day - it's just not in one continuous period of time. Not complaining though. Yeah, Adie has changed my life forever - in a very very good way. No regrets at all.

And well deserved. I doubt I ever will. My pieces are too self-conscious and restrained in the sexy bits. Dialogue, characters, and plot don't get many votes. Such is the Lush life and no complaints. I like what I write and that's all that counts for me.
