I will see Guardians of the Galaxy Two, who doesn't love whacked out space movies.

I am contemplating seeing the "new" Alien movie. I loved the original so I have mixed feelings about seeing this one.

Has anyone seen it yet and if so, what did you think of it?
I watched Their Finest this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love Bill Nighy and Gemma Arterton is gorgeous
Watched 'Gone with the wind' in the week but the bloody telly was on the blink... the colour wasnt working. Still it was a good film and quite moving.

I nearly
I recently saw 'Battle for Sevastopol'. A Russian language movie about a young woman who. through no intention of her own became the Soviet's most prolific sniper of world war two.
It was very moving and didn't glorify war at all.
It was apparently a true story.
I highly recommend it,

can't wait to see this!

I want to see this too.

and maybe this

and this. If nothing else but for the gratuitous language.

Me, too, except (sigh) I haven't seen the first one, yet. Everything about the Guardians movies screams that I will love them but time and priorities being what they are...

I gave up after Alien3. To me, the Alien universe consists of Alien and Aliens with Alien3 as an alternative timeline, rather like the new Star Treks. Maybe Scott will do something with Covenant to change my mind, but the reviews and word of mouth I heard on its predecessor (Prometheus) don't really make me hopeful. The problem is that Scott is trying to explain everything but it was the mystery that made Alien stand out for me.
Saw: Kong: Skull Island

Want to see: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
I really wanted to see The Zookeeper's Wife but I couldn't bring myself to leave home the last few weekends and I'm afraid it's too late now.

Hopefully it will get to Netflix eventually.
I really want to see 'Ludwig II' with English subtitles but it doesn't seem to be available.

Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. I really enjoyed the movie.

Next one will be: Dunkirk
50 Shades Darker.

Brandie
50 Shades Darker.

A movie about Ludwig II of Bavaria? I am down with that. I'm a fan of the German composer Richard Wagner and Ludwig was Wagner's patron for the last part of the composer's life (which is why Wagner built his theatre in Bayreuth, which is in Bavaria).

Aaaand after looking it up in IMDB, I see that the movie actually focusses on the relationship between Ludwig and Wagner. Now I want to find a dubbed or subtitled version, too.

I have a copy with google translate type subtitles which are next to useless. It is an excellent movie but doesn't appear to have been released on DVD outside of Germany and hence, no English subtitles...

I could only find it online with Italian Subtitles. sad
I just saw the move Vincent N' Roxxy.

The film stars Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Alpha Dog) and Zoe Kravitz. It's a relatively dreary, slow moving love story with a somewhat violent and surprise ending that barely makes up for the preceding hour of dullness.

If you like your movies to follow a basic Hollywood formula with clear cut good/bad guys and a nice neat storybook ending....then this one is not for you. But if you are a fan of character based stories with a smattering of nihilistic violence thrown in... then I can recommend it. Just make sure you watch the whole thing. I have a feeling that lots of people would turn it off or fall asleep half way through. Even though it's only 106 minutes, it seems much longer. The ending is worth the wait though....

I give it a 6.5/10

I thought it was more moving than the book, but I don't think they did as well with the story. Still got me crying though, twice.
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill.

I watched it last night, can't say I was that impressed tbh.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, it was awesome, we went to see it at the Cinema a few weeks ago. That said I think the first one was better.

Saw "Alien: Covenant" last night. I liked it - pretty scary but intelligent too.

And I love the sound of the Ludwig II film too.

It's getting better reviews than Prometheus but that's a rather low bar. The Globe & Mail only gave it two stars but the reviewer raved about Fassbender's performance.
Anyone who played these video games in arcades should like this movie. So many funny 80's references and under-the-breath comments and insults.

Yes, some language questions from the younger kids, but the entire gang howled with laughter. Fucking critics. Fuck off. This was a fun movie. Assholes.
